    • Excellent Dive Operation

Southern Cross Club offers OK accommodations with an excellent Dive Operation and Dive Team. Our room needed updating and newer linens, along with WiFi connection. I had no way of accessing the internet except to walk over to the Club House. Menus were good and staff very attentive. Diving in Little Cayman has always been awesome: the Southern Cross Dive Team was outstanding!!

When I arrived in Grand Cayman I was slightly disappointed by how built up it was and how huge and Americanised the hotels were. However, upon arriving on Little Cayman I felt like I had arrived in paradise and the Southern Cross Club was a gorgeous place to stay. This place is barefoot, rustic luxury and with no WiFi signal reaching the rooms its a great place to relax and de stress (there is WiFi in the main areas if you are that desperate!). The beach bungalows are in lovely shades of pastel colours and look right out onto the Caribbean Sea, what more could you want? The beach had some sun loungers on and some lovely hammocks too where you could enjoy some shade. Great breakfast and great food in the evenings. You dont even have to lock your doors in this place. Staff and visitors very trustworthy and all great people

    • Diving Adventure of Epic Proportions!

If you are looking for shopping and a full-service spa, this place may not be for you. However, everything about this exclusive diving and fishing resort screams paradise. My son and I had the very BEST time at Southern Cross Club! A father-son trip that we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives. Never in my life had I had the opportunity to go barefoot for six days straight. From the top notch staff, to those that keep it beautiful, to those that make everything taste like heaven, to those that make it run like a well-coconut-oiled machine, to those who made every dive EPIC and to those who make the fish bite - even when they don't want to. I am in awe and cannot wait to get the rest of my family down to visit to experience paradise at SCC, as we had the pleasure of doing. The only thing I would change is that, had I known just how incredibly romantic this place is, I would have brought my wife down first... sorry son.

    • Excellent time all around, great staff and amazing food.

My wife and I had a truly great time. Very, very little room for improvement. Excellent & plentiful food...we were very, very pleasantly surprised at the high quality & presentation of the meals. Friendly, attentive service all around. Dive staff were all great and let us dive our computers. Pool was very clean & always the perfect temp. The rooms are a little bit on the "rustic" side with some of the furnishings, but there were also things that had been remodeled/upgraded. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We ended up switching rooms 3 times and they were all nice with great A/C. There was a little bit of a mix-up with the booking office in California on the upstairs room that we requested so we moved on day 6 from downstairs to upstairs. They then offered at no charge the honeymoon suite for the last 3 nights which was very nice of them. The outdoor showers are great with incredible views...so relaxing! The resort is sooooo peaceful & relaxing. Everything is a very short walk and the views are wonderful. Mosquitos can get a little bad but the resort is kind enough to provide Off spray in the rooms and at the clubhouse. The only things that could be improved upon would be the sargassum weed invasion that is occurring making the waterline on the beach very unpleasant. Obviously, there is nothing that they can really do about that issue so plan on spending any desired swimming time in the wonderful pool, or paddle out to Owen Island for a nice beach. Also, the paddleboards could use some new deck pads. The diving on the north side was incredibly good. Tons of sponges, great walls and swim-throughs, lots of encounters with sharks, turtles, big lobster, rays & groupers. The dive staff took great care of our gear and gave great detailed briefings. Overall, we would highly recommend SCC and would definitely go back. My wife and I were very pleased!!

My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Southern Cross Club (SCC) in May 2019. SCC is an excellent resort with a staff that really makes it a wonderful experience. From the time of airport pickup to departure the staff makes every attempt to enhance your stay. The diving: Very good visibility, health of reefs and sea life made for great diving. All the dive masters were great(professional/fun!) and Mike was exceptional. Weather allowed and even encouraged all dives done on west side of island at Bloody Bay and Jackson Bight. Eagle Rays, turtles, sharks at the big end as well as lots of small critters were everywhere. Average dive time was over an hour with a wall at beginning and gradual accent to reef above 30 feet so never even approached decompression restrictions. Boats are well maintained and roomy. Dive group size almost always less than 7 divers so never crowded. The Resort: Greatlocation inside the fringing reef and almost directly across from Owen Island. We stayed in one of the cottages at north end of resort and really loved it. The meals were very good and they always have a vegetarian alternative. The chef (Anau?) comes around and checks on everyone to make sure theyre enjoying the meals. Honorable mention to Christine, Broland and Mike but entire staff a real gem. No surprise that SCC has lots of repeat guests, pretty sure my wife and I will be added to that list.
