    • They don't return deposit

They have ghosted me for 4 weeks after I submitted a cancellation. Response from the property was quick until I canceled our reservations. I contacted them through their site directly, email thread, and social media. No response, no reimbursement (even the half of the deposit), or information on why they have not been able to explain the lack of reply.

    • Beautiful location but massively over-priced

The cabaas are really beautiful, with a layout that feels relaxed and very hippie-like, until you look at the price. They can't charge 5-star hotel prices for rustic accommodation of this type, particularly when they know that their biggest asset is their closeness to the sea and you CANNOT possibly go into the sea because of the sargassum situation. The beach stinks and you can't enter the water due to the density of the seaweed. It's not their fault, I understand, but the prices should reflect this. The restaurant is also over-priced, you're paying European prices while in Mexico. I'm sorry but it's unacceptable.

Last year we decided to go to Tulum for a much overdue (2 years) honeymoon and my husband stumbled upon Villa Pescadores. Best trip weve ever had hands down. Beautiful accommodations, location, phenomenal food and staff. From starting the day with amazing coffee on the front deck and ending late nights watching the sky from the same spot. Never have we stayed somewhere where everyone was friendly and attentive but overall calming. Not to mention all understanding that I was still working on my Spanish being married to a Mexican man. Weve already booked for this year and have been counting down the days. See you all soon!

We went to Villa for our honeymoon in June and loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Villa was so beautiful and clean. Food was great! No complaints. We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is a little further from a lot of the other hotels but is a short taxi ride to the other stretch of hotels. I liked that this hotel was more secluded.

    • Nice hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel the last week of July for about 6 days. The room was very cute and nice, we wanted the King size studio but it was booked for some of our days but the regular sized king room ended up being more than enough. The A/C only runs from 6pm to 9am on the dot. The scenery from our balcony/deck is really beautiful and the daily morning coffee with cookies to our deck was a really nice touch. The room was cleaned everyday and all the staff was very friendly. The front desk reception guys were very nice but especially Antonio, he always greeted us with a smile and offered us great recommandations on where to go and visit and eat. The restaurant is pricey but oh so worth it!! The fish tacos, the tuna chorizo tacos, the coconut gin drinks are to die for. The breakfast was also so good. My only negative comment is the seaweed. This hotel does not maintain the seaweed problem as well as other hotels in the area. When we got there, there was about 1 foot of seaweed on the shore, the water was brown and murky. I know the seaweed problem is a natural ocurrence but while walking down the shore to neighboring hotels we spoke to other tourists and their hotels had people cleaning the seaweed daily. Apparently the Governement sends machines to clean the shores but their hotels also hired people to do additional cleanup. We were told by some of the locals on the beach that Villa Pescadores only relies on the Gov't cleanup and doesn't hire people to do the additional cleaning. That is why our shore looked murkier than the neighboring waters. The price of the hotel is about median compared to other hotels in the area. All in all we did have an awesome time in Tulum, Villa Pescadores is a really nice hotel, the rooms are right on the sand, the vibe is calm and relaxing, the staff is so friendly. Again thank you to Antonio for all his time and recommendations.
