Spent two weeks here in July while volunteering as a vet student in the local dog shelter. The shelter is a 15 mins walk away . The place is ran by a charming young Italian couple and a small few lovely local staff. The chef, Joe, gets a special mention cos he was just great. This place is amazing value for money. By far the cheapest we paid in Thailand and got a lovely double room with an ensuite. There is a great restaurant on site that does Thai food and unreal pizza. We were there for 2 weeks and tried other places in walking distance that were nice too (Mum a Roy's for eg.) when we needed a change. The owners provide everything, taxi cheaper than we could organise ourselves . Scooters or bikes if you want to rent them etc. There is an amazing beach about 7 min walk away. We spent many peaceful evenings on the terrace having beer and chats. For from the busy filth of Chaweng.

    • Nice place but far from everything, and not so clean.

We stayed there because we thought it is not crowded but it's sort of an empty area.. no thai food except 1 place that closes very early. Their food was expensive for us and in very small portions.. we didn't find the peace we wanted. I would not recommend. And not so clean.

    • A nice place to stay in quiet and less touristic part of Koh Samui

We loved the patio. We stayed in deluxe room on the second floor and enjoyed the view and warm tropical winds in the evening. The location of the villa was nice and quiet and near the beach. There were many great eating places nearby (The Island view restaurant, Pada Thai, Mum-A-Roy) The mattress on the bed was a bit hard for my taste at the beginning, but I got used to it:)

We stayed in this lovely hotel. The customer service was fantastic and the price very much worth it. Near a lovely beach. Note: there are two dogs and a cat. It is a hotel away from anything. Although there is a fantastic restaurant next door. Yaew restaurant. Super cheap and really amazing food.

I don't even know where to start, it was honestly the most horrific encounter of customer service me and my partner have ever experienced. We started off getting there and the owners were lovely and helpful to start off with but after getting to our room it went downhill from there. The room itself had mould in, it was filled with bugs and bed sheets smelt bad. For us personally it was to far out to do much, you definitely needed a bike. So we booked to stay in a different hotel in the more touristy part of koh samui. When we notified the owner we wouldn't be staying for the 3 nights we were told we would have to pay for 2 nights even though we stayed for 1 which we were confused about but agreed to it and she told us the price that night. Anyway when we went to check out in the morning there was some confusion about how much we had to pay as the member of staff said a much higher amount to what the owner said we had to pay, so we asked if we could speak to one of them to clear it all up and get it sorted and the member of staff said "he is sleeping (bare in mind this was at 11:00am) if I wake him up he will be angry for the rest of the day". Weird. So we paid what we thought was agreed the night before. Then this shambles of a place starts emailing my girlfriend abusive messages demanding more money and saying we shouldn't be staying in Thailand because apparently she was scared of a butterfly?? The emails contained name calling, verbal abuse and threats. We was honestly horrified and to be honest so shocked how a owner of a hostel can email a customer like that. It has genuinely upset us how we have spoken to and this could have all been avoided if the manager would've just woken up to clear any confusion we had over paying.
