      Reviewed 01 October 2019

This is a hotel at the very best - the welcome, rooms, service and attention to detail made our stay in Florence absolutely perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the team - managers and staff. Food was fabulous and pool area perfect for relaxing after touring the citys beautiful sights. Exceeded all our expectations.

    • Rough start but perfect ending

We had a bad start due to Expedias screw ups. The hotel staff went above and beyond to fix what Expedia broke. Every one went out of their way to help us and make our stay memorable. Gorgeous hotel, phenomenal grounds , amazing staff eager to make things right. Special kudos to Lorenzo Venessa and others for bending over backwards to make up for Expedias mistakes. Highly recommended. But, book yourself. Dont rely on Expedia.

    • Perfection in Florence

      Reviewed 08 September 2019

We just got back from a week at Villa Cora in Florence and we loved every minute of our stay. The location is perfect, the hotel is gorgeous, the grounds are breathtaking, the rooms are captivating, the food is incredible and the service is first class. Breakfast on the terrace every morning was a great way to start our day and the poolside pizza and champagne dinner was great fun. Villa Cora is outside of Florence Center which is exactly what makes its location perfect because, as special and beautiful as Florence is, it can get very crowded and tiring. Having the ability to leave all that and get back to the beauty and solitude of Villa Cora was perfect. And getting into town or out of town is only a 10 minute shuttle or taxi ride. Weve already begun planning our next holiday at Villa Cora, our new Florence home.

    • My favourite European hotel

      Reviewed 01 September 2019

This was my third visit to Villa Cora, and it remains my absolute favourite hotel in Europe. Housed in a restored building, it is staggeringly beautiful, outside and in; both the public spaces and the rooms are delightful. Breakfast is the most expansive, delicious buffet, taken on the terrace, with views across the gardens. Dinner, in the summer, is eaten beside the gorgeous pool. The food is very, very good. Every member of staff is friendly and helpful and warm. There are countless little extras (sweets and cakes every night in our room, hot and cold drinks and biscuits available in the lobby all day, ice creams, water and even pizza slices served complimentary around the pool). A shuttle takes you in and out of town on demand (one very very tiny note of criticism it finishes at 9pm, so you will have to find a taxi home after dinner.) Escaping the heat and crowds of the city to the oasis of the pool and gardens makes you feel like the most spoilt visitor ever, and the view of Florence from the roof terrace at night is breathtaking. I feel like Ive run out of superlatives. But it IS that good.

    • What a pleasant surprise

      Reviewed 01 September 2019

Stayed at the Villa Cora in Florence during a business trip this spring and what a please surprise! This is definitely a quintessential Italian luxury hotel experience. The rooms are impeccable and the lighting is absolutely theatrical. The swimming pool was perfectly heated in spite of the cool spring weather and the breakfast spread was very impressive for such an intimate hotel.
