      We stayed in September 19 for our honeymoon. Amazing hotel with great view and amazing service! If the privacy matters for you it is the best option. Staff was super friendly and the room & pool were always clean

      Lunched at Viceroy and what an experience. Staff extremely attentive. View beautiful and very serene. Restaurant decor superb. Food exquisite. All the trimings included.Aperitif to start, sorbet between meals to cleanse the pallet. Food definitely 5 star. Presentation outstanding. A very memorable afternoon and cannot recommend it enough. A truly wonderful experience and can't wait to go back.

      This place took my breath away!! Just returned from 5 days here and I cannot put into words how beautiful it is ! From the moment we arrived at check in until we sadly left, everything was just perfect !! Our pool suite with our own private pool and daybed was fantastic ,spa treatments were wow! as was our lounge and bathroom,The food is just the best at cascades and the service and all the staff was amazing, tut and goong made breakfast a treat and a special Thankyou to sunti for organising a special candlelight dinner for our anniversary (and it certainly was special!!) Thankyou also to balek for looking after us so well poolside and serving our lovely lunches And a huge Thankyou to all at the Viceroy, we shall return

      I had high hopes after staying in another 5star resort recently and after reading all the amazing reviews. I think that at a place thats rated #1 in the world for hotels you really shouldnt have to ask for the same thing multiple times, have to worry about allergens in your food, or be disturbed with an awkward conversation with housekeeping about whether I want them to turn down the room or not. First things first, the room is amazing. They decorated it nicely for our honeymoon with roses on the bed and a yummy cake. The cascades restaurant is also very good and we pretty much only ate there during our short stay. The only Problem was that on the papaya salad (which states it has peanuts in it) they decided to substitute with cashews without my knowledge (and which I am usually very allergic to-throat swelling/hives etc, and which they already knew). I ate it!!!! After asking the staff if what i just ate was a cashew they were very apologetic but they still charged for the entire meal!!!! They did give us two scoops of ice cream for dessert at dinner though?! Its not a huge deal but I think that for a huge screw up like that at a number 1 resort, a little more tact can be shown by maybe not charging for a meal that could have either really hurt me or ruined the rest of my day. Luckily, I didnt have a reaction Besides a bit of an itchy throat. When we first arrived they stated that they turn the heat in the pools off at a certain time every night but if requested, it can stay on later. So, I asked if they could keep it on a bit later for us. I had to call every single night to ask for the heat to be on and for the jacuzzi to stay on and every single night was met with an awkward conversation full of confusion or just a straight up no. They seemeded to figure out how to bypass the early shut off on night 1 but by night 3 the concierge seemed to not even understand what I was asking. Really disheartening considering services Ive had at other establishment. Finally, I was excited by the little surprise on the pillow every night but after the first night-we left ours out and it was simply taken and replaced with a different one. When I realized I should put it away soas to actually get to enjoy it in The future, none was left at all!!! Its inconsistencies like this that give this place an average rating, and its unfortunate since it is really beauitful and some of the staff are great. On the positive, the spa is really amazing IMO-super accommodating and relaxing. My hubby is super picky and loved his massage but found the foot reflexology painful. That being said, you can get a massage in the city for under 7$!!!! Not sure how those are though

      We stayed at the Viceroy for our 40th wedding anniversary. I believe this is the nicest property in all of Ubud! We stayed in the suite with a private pool, what a treat it was to have the privacy of our own pool after a long day of site seeing around Ubud! The service in this hotel is outstanding and first class. Everyone is smiling and happy to help in any way. Lots of extras go a long way here, including a surprise hot bath filled with beautiful flowers!
