    • Great place for rest and recuperation after surgery

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo on the 6th floor facing the highway. The sound of the cars going by wasn't great, but the view was beautiful. The hotel is across the street from a shuttle stop which was perfect for us for going to the hospital everyday. Loved having a kitchen so we didn't have to go down to the same breakfast every morning. I was so pleased with the large laundry machines with complimentary detergent. Great touch! Netflix and XM radio on the TV were other plusses. We were there for 10 days, so the attention to details really helped. Although, I would have appreciated better lighting on the nightstand for bedside reading. One thing that would have been made our stay even better is if there had been air conditioning in the units rather than only in the hallways! The staff were all so nice and very helpful. We were able to borrow a wheelchair and they even had a shower chair that we could keep in the spa shower for our stay. We were very fortunate to stay at Mountain Haus after surgery at Vail Health.

Love this place. Amaxing condos, location, breakfast, hot tub and SERVICE!! Located right in the heart of the happenings during summer, dog friendly, parking in garage, walk to whiskey. Just do it!! We will return.

    • Fine, but AVOID in summer if youre sensitive to heat!

We booked a three bedroom condo last minute and got a decent deal. First, the good: Every member of the staff we encountered was wonderful and kind. They called ahead of time, and we requested a crib which was in the unit upon our arrival along with some nice goodies. The location is amazing. Very walkable to everything. Free breakfast was nice, though the same every day and not much. The kids liked it... Parking is right across the street in the public garage, but they have overnight validation that makes it free for guests, which is awesome. Our room was quite old and dated, but it was very clean and spacious for our family of six. The only area that had been updated was the bathrooms, but the master bathroom in our unit is configured so that there is no way to avoid spraying water ALL over the floor during showers. This made a huge mess every time and we had to use multiple towels all over the floor just to shower. **THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE AC IN THE ROOMS.** Unless heat at night doesnt bother you, do not stay here in the summer. We arrived midday in June, and it was incredibly hot in the room. All of the thermostats read 80 degrees. I asked the front desk agent about it and she told us to open the windows. Well, yes, that would work well, but the small windows in the two (kids) bedrooms are about a foot wide and floor to ceiling. Not only did this offer little circulation, but I felt incredibly uncomfortable leaving them open at night as our first floor room faced a service alley. Someone could literally walk into their rooms. The windows in the master were slightly better, but being on the first floor was awful. There were loud, rambunctious people walking the streets/creek every single night. One night the people above us were playing loud music past eleven (which I called the front desk about... they kind of turned their music down, maybe a little bit?) and another a group of about 8 people were right outside our windows (in the alley) smoking pot, coughing as loudly as they possibly could, and haggling about at 2am. Because we were right next to the alleyway, we were privy to several colorful conversations all through the night every single night. None of this would be an issue in winter, and I realize the hotel has little control over this, but in summer when your only option is to open windows for some relief, it was pretty terrible. Overall, I might consider staying again in the dead of winter when I didnt have to rely on leaving my windows open all night. I love some good, fresh mountain air, but not at the price of absolutely terrible sleep.

This is a condo unit that is run by excellent management. We were on the second floor, right over the hot tub and were a bit concerned that there might be noise. Room 217. WRONG! IT WAS QUIET!!!!! No noise at night. Our room was a bit dated, but it was clean, the TV's worked, we had a fully stocked kitchen (including salt and pepper) and we were absolutely fine for 1 week. Daughter said the pull out bed's mattress was a bit hard and thin. Also, the bathroom was a bit dated and small. That would be the only things I'd say need improvement. The Concierge set us up with reservations ahead of time at some popular restaurants and I recommend you do that during spring break skiing and Holiday times, as the whole area was very crowded. Their morning breakfast was good. Free. Same every morning: bagels, make your own waffles, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon and a gluten free chili. Coffee, tea and juice and cold cereals available. All good. They have a laundry facility with laundry detergent and dryer sheets available for guests to use. How convenient! I was able to do a couple of loads before going home. The housekeeping was terrific. Would like to stay again.

Excelente facilities, great location, friendly people. Good cost/benefit ratio. Waking distance to Gondola 1 and all the rental places. It is right in front of the bus stop if you want to go to Lionhead or other part of Vail. We highly recommend Mountain Haus Regards The Carles Family
