    • Ok stay

This is a lovely old house and you do feel as though you are going back in time. However some rooms are nicer than others for sure. We were in a smaller room and I have to say the bed was very very average. Very hard bed.however we were able to sleep. We were with a group and several said the same thing. Problem with an old house when one person is awake the whole is really. But that said some people would like it. Very low key quite type place. Didn't see the hosts at all.

What you see is different when you visit Vacy Hall, to me it is simple fanimorous and a pleasant place to rest. Home away from home. The family really enjoyed there stay here. looking forward to another visit.

Beautiful location and breakie was home cooked and delicious. Key to staying at Vasey Hall is room allocation. Our original room was very small with limited hanging room but we were offered an alternative room for our second night. We were staying in one of the old staff quarters room which had a strange noise emitting from ceiling cavity.

    • Spacious & luxurious with old world charm

This grand old boutique property is very well located with easy off street parking, and walking distance to the CBD, restaurants, cafes and bars. The property has a casual elegance along with spacious, luxuriously appointed rooms and common areas, along with stunning gardens. The long term staff we met were super helpful and friendly going above and beyond our expectations. There are several room configurations available with a great blend of old world charm and modern amenities. This is a great place to relax either as a holiday stopover or as an oasis from a day of business. Definitely also one to consider for a wedding venue. We had Room 1 (luxury king suite) at the front with beautiful bay windows, claw foot bath and separate shower. It was huge and very well appointed. We slept in possibly the tallest bed weve been in anywhere in the world which was grand, fun, but also a bit tricky for us vertically challenged folks of average height. Simple, but delicious breakfasts can be pre-ordered during your stay, or alternatively take a short walk to Ortem for a wider range of menu options and very good coffee. Based on our hosts recommendations we also dined at Gips and at Sofra. Both were very good, with Sofra Turkish restaurant being our favourite and in need of future visits. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Vacy Hall as our home away from home in Toowoomba.

    • Needs some TLC

We stayed here for one night in July staying in Queen Room with ensuite. The location ,garden setting and overall heritage ambience make it charming however it is let down by an evident lack of upkeep inside and outside so the sense if "boutique" is not there when one considers the price being charged. Comfortwise it was OK bedlinen very good but let down by somewhat lumpy bed. Log burner in room might be nice but more of a safety hazard as base was a tripping hazard so mind your toes. In room tea offering was low quality and tasteless as was guest coffee pod facility. Fresh fruit bowl in hallway was nice and then wholesome. We did not try the breakfast so can't comment but note it is an extra charge although may be included on some website offers. We were made to feel welcome so no quibbles there. Overall website projects a premium experience and in our opinion it falls well short of that.We did provide direct feedback to the owner with some suggestions for improvement in response to an email follow up but heard nothing further. I think that about sums the place up....not really interested.
