    • Relaxing holiday

There is something very relaxing about staying on a small island not far from the mailnland. Treasure island is a piece of heaven and if this place does not relax you...nothing will. There are many activities you can get involved in like tennis, mini golf, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, para gliding snorkeling and a must is to go scuba diving feeding the fish. From the moment you arrive to a Fijian greeting on the beach and a welcome song you unwind and relax. yake your shoes off because you don't need them on the island. The food is good and could use a bit of improvement with variety and authenticity of Fijian cuisine...curries are a bit of Indian influence which most people visiting don't expect. The bar is great and the bar staff are a lot of fun. The bures are comfortable and private and clean. Beds are also comfortable...not too hard. The value for the money is average and this can be improved if they want more tourists. I have been back to this island many times and it is a favourite among the many islands available in Fiji. • Great resort

      Reviewed 03 September 2019

Our family stayed recently for 4 nights. Very friendly staff. Very impressed with the decor, cleanliness and up to date decor. We had a suite with 2 beds, 2 bath, living room and fully fitted kitchen plus 2 balconies with sea view. Everything was supplied. Ample towels, lovely robes in each room. Nothing to complain about at all except.......our room was not cleaned on the first day despite my husband informing reception 3 times ! Turn down service came in the evening and despite the housekeeping knowing rooms had not been cleaned she emptied bins and gave us clean towels but she did not make the beds. My husband was not happy since it is not a cheap hotel. If it had not been for this one small detail it would have been perfect and given 5 stars. Nevertheless we would definitely recommend this resort and stay there again.

    • Wonderful 4-night stay!

      Reviewed 25 August 2019

My husband and I recently spent four nights at this beautiful and charming resort. From the moment we arrived, we could tell that the service would be excellent, and we were right! As soon as we pulled up in our car, Edwin, the very friendly and knowledgeable bellman, came out to welcome us and load our luggage onto a cart. The lobby and registration desk are on the second floor, as is the hotel restaurant, but no worries, there are two elevators to take you up from the parking level. Speaking of parking, which is free, there is a covered parking garage, so the sun cant beat down on your car and heat it up. This is a huge plus! Edwin took us to the front desk to get checked in, and then he brought us up to our Gulf-view two-bedroom suite on the sixth floor, which is the highest floor of the building. He showed us around the suite, and made sure that the icemaker was turned on in our freezer. We had a few questions, and he politely and patiently answered every one of them. We saw Edwin several more times during the course of our stay, and although he kept busy, he always made time to speak to us and find out how our day was going, and if he could provide any assistance to us. Every hotel needs an Edwin! We also found that the housekeepers were friendly and helpful, and they spoke English, which seems to me to be rare in hotel housekeeping staff! They ask every day if there is anything that you need, and they are happy to satisfy your requests. We especially appreciated the evening turndown service. We were given chocolates, large bottles of water, extra towels, and anything else we needed that is normally provided. Back to the suite itself: it was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It had two balconies; each one having two chairs and a table between them. Both faced the pool, beach, and Gulf. Out the front door of our suite, we had gorgeous views of the surrounding neighborhood, and even views to more distant spots, since we were on the sixth floor. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen area with a big table, and a small but adequate living-room area with a sofa and an extra TV. The master bedroom has a roomy space next to the bathroom, that is great for storing your luggage. Of course, each bedroom has a closet, as well. There were two hotel bathrobes in each closet, but we didnt use them. This is a newer hotel, and we found that our suite had more than enough electrical outlets to recharge our phones and iPads during our stay. The free WiFi was good. It froze up a few times during our stay, but it resolved itself within a few minutes. The kitchen has some plates, silverware, coffee mugs, juice glasses, and wine glasses for your use, in addition to some pots, pans, and other utensils. Theres a small dishwasher, and dishwasher detergent is provided for your use. They also provide a small bottle of Palmolive dish soap, which is refilled daily, along with a clean dish sponge, dish towel, and paper towels. Theyve pretty much thought of everything! A Keurig machine is in the kitchen. The K-cups for the Keurig are in the lobby; you can take the ones you need, and your daily resort fee covers the cost. In the lobby, you can also pick up a free copy of USA Today newspaper. We were staying here in the off-season, when the hotel is not full, and there were plenty of copies of the newspaper available all day. At 4:00 PM, cookies and some type of juice or flavored water are placed in the lobby for guests to enjoy. This was also a nice touch. We enjoyed using the pool area a couple of times, and found the pool attendant to be very helpful, like the rest of the staff. I took a dip in the pool several times. Being that we were there in August, the air was extremely hot and humid. The pool temperature was perfect, in my estimation! Neither too warm, nor too cold. While I liked being at this hotel in the off-season (summer) because of the lower prices and the lack of crowds, I did find that I was uncomfortable spending much time outdoors because of the heat. I was happiest when I was inside, in the air-conditioning, or in the pool. For me, it was too hot to sit on the beach. I would love to return to this hotel, but at a time when its somewhat cooler outside. If you dont mind Floridas summer heat, then by all means, take advantage of the great off-season benefits! If you need to make any purchases outside of the hotel, there is a Walgreens and a Publix Supermarket very close by. There are other restaurants, gift shops, and a McDonalds within walking distance as well. Johns Pass Village and its marinas are only a little over a mile away. We visited there twice during our stay. For the most part, we either ate food that we bought at Publix, or we ate at BRGR, the hotel restaurant. The food and service at BRGR were outstanding. There were just two small problems: If youre not a thin person, the chairs in the restaurant are very uncomfortable, because they have sides that dig into your sides. I found it much more comfortable to use the padded bench seating that is also available. Also, on a morning in which we had to leave the room by 9:30 AM, to make it to an appointment in Tampa, I ordered a room service breakfast from the restaurant. My order arrived with just enough time for me to eat it. The eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes were delicious; however, the toast was completely stale. It was as hard as a rock! How could the person preparing it not notice that? And I had requested that jelly be included for my toast; there was none delivered to me. Because of our time constraint that morning, I did not have time to call the restaurant and ask them to remedy those 2 problems. For a hotel of this caliber, I was very surprised and disappointed at the carelessness of the person who put my order together. Nevertheless, we found the overall service and quality at TIBR to be outstanding, and we look forward to returning for another stay some day!

Just returned from a 3-night stay in Gulf Suite. The resort is clean and the people are friendly. Pool service attendant and front desk were great. Off-peak timeframe was perfect, as the beach and resort were not busy. Id recommend off-peak. All 5s for TIBR!
