    • Incompetent at best/tried to steal my package at worst

      I had a package delivered to the hotel. Long story short, It was extremely important. They delivered it at 10:15am to the valet. Around 11, I went to pick it up. Keep in mind, no one called me to tell me I had a package. The front desk couldnt find it, maybe it got to the valet. The valet claimed he had been there all morning, no packages. The hotel suggested I a) call the USPS and b) check the surrounding buildings. After waiting on hold with USPS for hours, they opened a ticket with the local post office, and suggested I go down there even though they were closed to see if I could get a supervisor. They escalated and the carrier called a few hours later to let me know he left the package with the valet and described the same person who denied receiving the package. I had to go back to the hotel from my vacation to the hotel and they STILL denied having the package. It was only after we requested the security camera footage and threatened to call the police that suddenly, shockingly, they found my package. Unbelievable...With this level of service, I can only imagine what other nonsense this place gets up to.

    • Great location, great staff, restaurant under construction

      Whenever I am in the Arlington VA area, I stay at this hotel because of the staff. This hotel is well run and the people are friendly and seem to genuinely care about the guests. If there is something not right, let them know. The only downside on this trip is that the restaurant was closed for renovations, but they set up a bunch of tables in the lobby. Which was not as bad as it sounds.

      This is a great hotel and it located just outside Washington DC and is located just minutes away from Washington and the sites that Washington has to offer. I would definitely love to stay there again.

      Many good things at this hotel - friendly front desk staff, lots of pillows, largish fitness room, clean rooms. I would definitely return. One drawback: the pool is only open on Friday nights and weekends. Other things worth mentioning: a small snack shop in the lobby if you are hungry, a mere block or two from the restaurants and Ballston Quarter (mall, with restaurants and movie theater), a retractable line in the shower for hanging items you rinsed out, grab bars in the shower (although my room may have been designed for wheelchair use), little to no street noise (although the view was the building next store and the room was dark due to lack of sunlight), fitness room with several treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, free weights, TRX, kettle balls, and mats. Also, a Starbucks is connected to the lobby so if the weather is bad you can go there without going outside. There is a restaurant, but it was closed during my staff. Buffet breakfast was offered in the lobby. Tip: there are two elevator banks. Be sure to ask for which one is closest to your room. I did not use the parking service

      I stayed here with my dog for three nights and had an amazing comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. I liked the Starbucks coffee in the room as well as the amenities pool, hot tub, and gym. What really stands out is the amazing customer service. In particular Jesse Paige and Tom were incredible. They really went out there way to make sure me and my dog were accommodated. I look forward to returning!!
