My husband Clayton and I, along with with my friend Anne stayed at The Waterfront for 3 nts beginning Sep 9th. In every way, our stay was nothing short of perfect. The location (along the Fife coastal walk), the wonderful accommodations, excellent restaurant and maybe best of all, the staff. I wish I knew all of the names of the friendly and helpful staff members, but one name we did get was Anna. She is courteous, funny and a wonderful waitress, whose smile we enjoyed every day. One evening I was particularly stressed out because my husband was having trouble contacting our upcoming Edinburgh airbnb contact. I walked into the restaurant, explained my predicament and the lovely lady listening to my story took care of the situation; she gave him a call, handed the phone over to me and problem solved. If and when we're able to get back to the Scottish eastern shore, we'll absolutely stay at The Waterfront, only longer!

Excellent accommodation, tasty breakfast right in the heart of lovely Anstruther The area of East Neuk is very pretty and this hotel is good base to travel from. Hate to say the service at breakfast was a bit slow and disjointed but there was a lot going on. Not sure if we would stay again but it certainly was pleasant

Stayed as a solo traveller in the bakehouse block behind the main restaurant, top floor single room with en-suite. Room was pristine, looks to be newly decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. The cleanliness was exceptional. TV in room and complimentary toiletries. As a solo traveller I was quite nervous but the room was lovely, Breakfast is in the waterfront restaurant and was yummy. You can also book dinner when you get your room, advisable to do so as restaurant gets busy at peak times. Was very impressed, if going back to Anstruther, would recommend for solo traveller,

I was really pleased with this hotel (or 'restaurant with rooms, as it seemed to be classified by the tourist board). It was located, as the name suggests, on the waterfront, which was the main focal point of the town, making it very convenient. The room was very clean. I liked the toiletries and was pleased to see conditioner and body lotion included. The photos of the rooms were accurate, which isn't always the case. There didn't seem to be a great deal of soundproofing, I could hear people upstairs moving around and flushing toilets. However, this didn't cause any issues for me at night, so didn't impact my scoring. I dare say that it could have been different with noisier fellow guests. Breakfast was good, with a varied selection of hot dishes, plus fruit, cereal and yogurt. I had both lunch and dinner in the restaurant and really enjoyed both meals. The fish pie was the best that I have had. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Was so glad to have found this place.
