Stayed here two years running with our touch rugby team.only had one issue with one of the rooms this year. Generally speaking it's your average blackpool budget hotel.don't expect holiday Inn standards.but overall fair value for what you pay

Stayed here for 5 nights in August for a competition with my daughters dance group who booked out the whole place. The hotel staff where amazing from the off, especially Jackie & Terry who nothing was too much for. As a large group we had people aged from 3 to 70 and the manager always made sure there was entertainment on in the evenings for both children and adults. Breakfast every morning was nice lots of variety. Staff very efficient considering there was only Jackie waitressing, but she would make sure everyone was served and had the correct breakfast. After leaving and arriving home I realised I'd left my engagement ring in the room, luckily the hotel staff where kind enough to send my ring back to my home address 1st class recorded delivery and also covered the cost. Overall brilliant stay, hope to stay here again.

What a difference a year makes. Last year we stayed at the hotel, we could not fault it, and gave a true review, which was excellent ( 5 stars ). This year when I booked I asked for the same rooms 001 and 106. and I was told that the rooms had been booked for us. 001 was for me as I am disabled and cannot climb up and down stairs. when we got there we were told I could not have room 001as it was unavailable . to find out later it was for the night porter . Then they put me on the 2nd floor room 117,which had bunk beds in the room. I went down to reception and told them I could not sleep in a bunk bed, they put me back on the 2nd floor in room 107, when I asked what would happen if the lift broke down. I was told by the General Manager that the lift never breaks down. The room was dirty ,the ceiling in the bathroom was loose, the window sill was filthy, the bed was a bunk bed without the bunk on top. the mattress was awful you could feel the springs in it and struggled to get off the bed as it was too low . there was no T V in the room , I had to ask for one, also only 1 pillow had to ask for another one. also the coffee, sugar and milk was not refilled every morning and had to go to the reception to ask for more. we had a meal there on our first night. the food was awful, lumpy mash frozen vegetables and a tough pork chop. the chef wore the same clothes next morning, The cleaner was wearing her cleaner clothes and then served meals with the same clothes on, she also sat at the bar on Saturday night 21h00 on a stool and had her legs up on another stool (Not Very professional.) On Saturday afternoon we were outside when the fire alarm went off, what would have happened if I was in my room, as you cannot use the lift ?, I would have probably been the last one out. as I struggled to get down the stairs, and we told them when we booked in. By Saturday night we rang our lift to pick us up on Sunday, we were booked to stay till Monday as we could not stand another night there. so yes we were very disappointed, Sorry Andrew but it is what it is. Travelled to Blackpool with my son & our Dance School for the World Streetdance Championships. We stayed at the Stretton 22-27 August and I can honestly say it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We are a big club so we booked out the entire hotel. Booking in 200 plus guests at the same time must be a nightmare especially when alot of them are excited Children but it was done quickly and efficiently. The staff were very welcoming and if there was any problem, any time of day or night it was resolved straight away. Our room was lovely, sea view, really clean and the comfiest bed Ive ever slept in. Breakfast every morning was good and set us up for a day of competition. The hotel made sure there was entertainment for us & the children at night and we thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went above & beyond for us all during our stay. They even printed posters for the dancers everyday congratulating them and wishing them luck for the next day that were displayed all over the outside and on every floor inside the hotel. We have traveled all over the country but The Stretton is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed and a lot of that is down to the AMAZING staff who work there. They really made us feel at home and I cant thank them all enough for making our stay a memorable one. I wouldnt hesitate to highly recommend this hotel to anyone, I loved every minute of staying there and cant wait to come back again xxx

Myself & fellow dance family travelled up to compete in a world championship competition in August & all had a fantastic time staying here. Over the last 10 years we have travelled up & down the country & this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in with most welcoming & friendly bunch of staff we have ever met! We booked the whole hotel out due to being such a large group & had the best time. They couldnt do enough for us & put on entertainment for the children & parents every night! They were amazing with our dancers & so patient. We arent the quietest bunch due to being so many but they let us carry on having fun. Lovely food, clean rooms, excellent prices! We stayed for 5 nights but would have loved to stayed for more! We returned from the competition every day to new banners & posters put up congratulating us & wishing us luck for the following day!! Even cleared out a room for us to rehearse! Would definitely recommend & will definitely be going back..!! Stretton Hotel you will be seeing UDC again for sure Thank you for making our stay so comforting & welcoming..!!
