      On the way back from Bali we decided to break up our journey by having an overnight stay in Doha. We booked a room at the Ritz Carlton but on arrival were told we had been upgraded to a suite. Despite arriving at 6.30am, we were allowed to check in owing to the fact that the hotel was more than 90% empty as it was just around the time the world was going into lockdown. I'd also like to commend our Colombian check in assistant for her help. The hotel is absolutely stunning but was eerily quiet. Our suite was incredible, probably the best hotel room I've ever seen. We could not explore the rest of the hotel as all areas were closed off. Unfortunately we left within 4 hours as their were rumours that Doha airport was going to close and we didn't want to get stuck so went back to the airport and took the next flight home. I would definitely stay here again if I went to Doha.

      Went there to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday with some 20 family and friends and what can I say... Absolutely wonderful beautiful property and the staff exceptional where nothing was a issue Special thanks to Celian and his team who literally went out of their way to ensure we had a superb time in Doha Thank you so much Hope we can visit once again very soon

      We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday at the Ritz Carlton and before I continue my review I want to say a massive thank you to Christian, Indraneeel, Tristan and all the staff members who made our stay absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond every single day, making my mother feel very special with different surprises, so many cakes! Even more so, nothing was ever too much to ask. The rooms were impeccable, to the highest of standards, and the club lounge was the best club lounge in the Middle East. 18 of us flew in from the UK, and all the guests could not sing the praises of the staff enough. We will be back, but again, we really appreciate the incredible stay and for making my mother's birthday so memorable!

    • 3rd stay at this hotel for MotoGP Qatar

      Three days prior to our pre-booked stay at Ritz Carlton the MotoGP of Qatar (this was the purpose of our stay) was cancelled due to the Corona Virus but we were so looking forward to it we travelled out anyway. As we have been twice previously we knew the hotel was of excellent standard. On arrival we were greeted kindly by door staff and offered towels and drinks to freshen up whilst we checked in. Two minutes to check in and we were on our way to our room with a kind gentleman bringing our luggage. The room, as usual, is lovely and the bathrooms with the Italian marble and luxury toiletries are an absolute delight. We had a nice view over the marina where we enjoyed our morning coffee. We only slept in the hotel as we were travelling to the Losail Circuit each day to see the motorbike racing which was still competing and so we have no experience of the food or the pools, activities etc. Every night we enjoyed our couple of drinks in the Habanos Bar to unwind from the day, Akash gave excellent service here and looked after us very well. Yulia on front desk also gave fantastic service talking to us on our check out. My only suggestion to Ritz Carlton is that given they were expecting 100% occupnancy and 80% cancelled last minute due to the cancellation of the MotoGP could they not have upgraded their remaining customers to a higher level of accommodation to thank them for their custom during this time?

      We spent here one week holiday in Lounge Club level. That was a good choice and we were very pleased. Lounge Club lobby in the 23th floor was nice and sevices were excellent. Thank you for the whole staff and specially for Tristan, Janine, Imran and Nicholas The are different sevice sections: breakfast, lighth lunch, afternoon tea and after work. All were excellent. Alcohol was served at noon. We just drank vine and beer, so do not know the whole supply. In our room was everything we needed. The bathroom was stylish and spacious. The room was okay - special thanks for usb-sockets for loading! There were nice balcony with the sea view and Lusail. In the room were also e.g. Nespresso coffee machine and ironing supplies. And always nice surprices!! And excellent housekeeping. We also visited The Lagoon restaurant ih the evenings and it was also very good: suitable selection of salads, main courses and sweets. In the pool we eat a salad and it was also okay. The pool area was beautiful and the staff was friendly and service-minded. You can also utilize indoor pool, jaguzzi and good service rooms. The beach is out of use, and maybe will be build again some days when all construction work will end in environment. The walking and jogging possibilities are limited, because a sidewalk ends after a the hotel area. You need walk on a lively roadway. But we thus walked to the Lagoon Mal and also to Lusail. You can also walk to Marina near the hotel. We used a hotel transportation from and to the airport. Nice and easy - good and friendly drivers! Waste management and sorting need some improvement - specially we from North Europa are used to sort our waste in different type of waste.
