    • Fabulous

1st- Matteo was awesome. He was super friendly and helped us to navigate the Latin dishes as well as suggesting where to get a good breakfast. 2d- this place is super clean, quiet, and delightfully eclectic inside. 3d- the Picadillo was phenomenal. I My husband and I both ordered this Cuban dish and we loved it.

    • Cool waitresses!

One of the many restaurants available on the 9th street Durham strip - it's got more of a Latino fusion menu, as the waitress explained - she was also the best part about it. The portions are super large, the prices are reasonable (most of the stuff is around 12 bucks), but the tastes are nothing special, really. There is tortillas, salads, fried platanas, all kinds of sauces, but it all tastes a bit too fake. And yes, evenings can get packed so better make a reservation.

    • Best Pico de Gallo Salsa!

You have to go here! Fantastic food. Great wait staff. Homemade Pico de Gallo salsa was the best ever. Perfect amount of fresh jalapeo in the salsa for just the right kick.

    • Put this on your bucket list; not TexMex.....Latin and so much better

Put Blue Corn on your bucket list. Our first time to Blue Corn Cafe based upon a recommendation of a local. Ends up the owner works the front performing hostess duty and this is a family business. Their guac is outstanding, and the menu is a bit unique. The emphasis here is on Latin dishes, but TexMex is also available. We stopped in for a late lunch and could not finish our (large) meals. Interesting blend of spices and herbs make the food here quite tasty but not overly spicy. Cuban sandwich was good, black beans with rice and plantains were excellent. Even the fish tacos were quite worthy. Good service and a simple but eclectic setting make this a fun stop. Have since been back countless times and never disappointed. Get there before 5 for the wrap special. The interesting mix of fresh ingredients (think plantains etc) and expert preparation coupled with good service make this a real winner. If you are anywhere near Duke or West Durham......make an effort to try Blue Corn. I did and am now a fan for life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

    • Very good food and lots of choices

Came with few business friends for dinner- food was good. I like that there are some Cuban choices on the menu. We liked the guacamole and the margaritas. Clean, cute decor and very nice staff. Good texmex and latin american food.
