    • A wonderful surprise

My husband booked this inn as part of a trip he planned. I didn't know anything about it and found it a delightful surprise. Courtenay is a skilled chef and innkeeper who clearly has a passion for what she does - it shows in all the details. Our room (Hemenway) was very comfortable and we loved sleeping with the windows open. Luxurious bed & bath linens and products & a great shower (which is often a low point in old properties). Food - fabulous! Cookies & fruit available and a delicious cooked breakfast. The gardens are beautiful as well and it is really convenient to walk to restaurants on the main drag of Ludlow

Our third night of Inn to Inn brought us into what I think may have been a charming and quaint village of Ludlow but we were so happy to arrive at The Pettigrew Inn that we never left to explore Ludlow. As a family of ten hiking together, we were pleased to have the inn to ourselves for dinner and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the well manicured yard before and after dinner. Our rooms were beautiful, comfortable (my daughter wanted to order the same mattress/springs set), showers and jacuzzis excellent. We were accommodated in a multitude of ways to make our trip special and each of us feel pampered. Meals were delicious and such a treat! The waffles for breakfast deserved a magazine cover shot! Chocolate chip cookies stole the show! We were dropped at a monastery to begin our third hike which was very interesting. Later we passed Kinhaven Music School. The village of Weston was a gem. There is a great itinerary each day!

The most comfortable beds!!! Need I say more??!!! Very friendly staff, great food, nicely appointed rooms. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return. Yummy dinner and breakfast during our stay. They offer small wine and beer selection, but great wine.

    • Excellent Service, Spacious, Comfortable Room

We weren't actually visiting Ludlow this time around, but we decided to come home this way just to spend a night at the Pettigrew Inn. Our room, the Bixby, was just as comfortable as we remembered it, from the kingsized bed to the high ceilings, jacuzzi tub and large walk-in glass shower to the peace and quiet at night, even though it's conveniently close to everything in town. Courtney is as attentive a hostess as you could ask for. She noticed that we had registered online with a different room than the last time we stayed here, so she texted and asked if that's what we had intended to do. When I said it wasn't, she corrected the room for us. This is the kind of hostess she is. She also gave us a nice recommendation for a dinner place, since most places around are closed on Wednesdays. Breakfast was a fresh fruit salad followed by a large stack of blueberry pancakes and sausage. Later in the day, she bakes cookies for guests. If you're in Ludlow, stay here.

We loved staying at the Pettigrew Inn. Courtenay was a gracious Innkeeper. The room was large and clean. The breakfasts and home baked snacks were delicious. It was nice to be able to walk to the town.
