Really enjoyed our stay in the Park Hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Asked to move room due to elderly relative not able for stairs.. were moved following first night as Hotel fully booked. Great entertainment on Wednesday night. The only thing that left this Hotel down were the breakfasts, on both mornings of our stay they were really terrible, cold fatty bacon, some half cooked and some burnt. Otherwise a lovely stay.

We stayed in a 3 bed self-catering house which was very well equipped including washing machine, drier, dish washer. Beds/mattress were really excellent. The only slight negative was the couches in the lounge weren't great for those of us with bad backs! Kids club staff were absolutely brilliant and the children loved going every day. They offer a food option for the children at 6:30 The hotel is cosy with a few food options bar, restaurant and lobby. Leisure centre is great for rainy days and although a little dated we noticed it is due for renovation shortly. Dungarvan has everything on your doorstep Dunnes, Supervalu, Lidl, Aldi etc. The Supervalu in particular had some really good produce. Greenway is a must and it is only a short walk to the hire shop if you miss pre-booking at reception.

I stayed here over the weekend and the hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and the food was lovely. The reason I gave it 3 out of 5 was disability access. My father was with me which was fine as I was able to open doors in the corridors and also the bedroom door. But if he came on his own he wouldnt be able to open any door. We had a ground level room which catered for wheelchairs and mobility scooters etc and had a wet room. I think the hotel needs to be more accommodating towards guests with mobility issues and have self opening doors throughout the corridors and also lighter bedroom doors that certain guests can open on their own. The other point is only two disable bays at the front of the car park which was both in use when we arrived. The receptionist said there was more round the back which unfortunately didnt really help my father. The hotel was lovely and I would stay again but just a couple of points for the hotel to address.

We arrived at The Park Hotel on a Friday afternoon to total chaos. The hotel car park was full of badly parked cars (ie. one car two spaces). The next hurdle was accessing the hotel reception. We had to make our way through the full wedding party with a band belting out music in the corner. NOT A GREAT START. The room was nice and well appointed. The hotel overall is very tired and in need of renovation. In particular the restaurant area is in a shocking state of decrepitude. The hot breakfast ordered from the table was not freshly cooked as you would expect with table service. As for evening dinner, no tablecloth on the table and mediocre food in conjunction with inexperienced waiting staff. Not a pleasant experience.
