    • Wonderful experience

We checked into this hotel last minute. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of Back Bay and next to the Boston Public Library. The staff were so warm and welcoming and the lobby area with a lit fire was beautiful, a lovely place to hang out. Highly recommended!

Stayed in the Lenox for 5 nights. Beautiful hotel. Clean, comfortable, great atmosphere and excellent staff. Michael on the front desk, all the waiters in the restaurant, we had breakfast each morning which was excellent and the service top class. Just a great hotel which made our trip to Boston even better!

    • Great Location

I give the Lenox a 4 basically because I could hear everyone in the hallway who were talking while waiting for the elevator or getting ice. Also I did not find the service to be exceptional; there seemed to be quite a few doormen/bellhops but they usually were talking amongst themselves and rarely spoke as we came and went. Anyway, the hotel is in a great location adnd even closer to the Copley T stop than I realized. I am not sure that many rooms have views other than the ones that front Boylston and the first ones back on the sides. We actually had one of these rooms and had a great view of the Finish line of the Marathon (it's cool how the Finish line is painted in the street year-round). We had a King Bed and there was a huge tv and walk-in closet. Walk-path between foot of the bed and the desk was very tight (more length to the room than functional width) Bathroom lighting was EXTREMELY dim. The hotel pipes in a scent in the lobby and restaurant areas. It's not unpleasant, but if you are sensitive, keep it in mind because it was really strong. We did not eat at the restaurant but we did order drinks one night. The separate bar was full, so we went to the restaurant's bar. I wasn't impressed with the $15 cocktails. Basically, the hotel is in a prime location so I imagine finding nights when the rates are down is tough to do. I would stay here again even with the lackluster greetings.

I have a son in college in Boston on South End and have been reading review after review about the Lenox while looking for a "go-to" hotel in Boston.. Six weeks ago I checked in for a 4 day stay and made good use of the hotel and nearby shops and restaurants. While "classical". in furnishings and settled in, the hotel in filled with great staff; serves great food and is perfectly positioned near everything I needed

    • It's Boston class

Welcome by a very nice receptionist I checked in the Lenox hotel. It was evening so the lights were slightly dimmed and the ambience looked elegant and cosy. The hotel is classy, a bit worn-out by the age but there is a lot of grace which comes with age. The room is again spacious, the carpeted floor acceptably clean, the bathroom comfortable and functional. A nice iron board should you need a last minute tide up. A special mention is deserved by the complimentary coffee served in the hall. Perfect to warm you up after a run in the chilly Boston morning hours. 5 stars go the warmth and politeness of the reception star. The rest is old bostonian class.
