This hotel is very nice with beautiful gardens. Their breakfast and restaurants are delicious! We also had them arrange us a private driver to see the Golden Triangle and our driver, Gurdev, was outstanding! He was polite, accommodating, and kept us safe on the crazy roads. Highly recommend this hotel and Gurdev!

We loved The Leela Palace. The hotel was beautiful and staff - as well as being excellent - were happy to engage with you not just be there to serve you, which we found refreshing in India. The room was large and furnishings beautiful. We thoroughly recommend this hotel. We also stayed at The Oberoi during this trip, but much preferred the Leela Palace. Lovely rooftop pool and views, although the water was extremely cold! Thoroughly recommend.

    • A nice start to our tour of India

My wife and I commenced our late February 2020, Tauck Tour of India at this hotel. The welcome garlands and Hindu initiation ceremony at the entrance was a fitting start to our journey and a nice welcome to the Leela Palace. The room was well appointed and had very comfortable inclusions, fluffy towels, large bathrobes and nice accessories. Our welcome present of Petit Fours chocolates was a nice touch. The twin sinks in the bathroom are always a sign of a well appointed, deluxe hotel, as are the floor to ceiling marble tiles on the walls of the bathroom. This hotel has a wonderful elegant style. Our only disappointment occurred when we went to our first breakfast. We attended the breakfast restaurant and said we were part of the Tauck Group, indicating that breakfast was covered. We were escorted inside by a staff member wearing a black suit. It seems no table was available for us, despite us walking past several empty tables near the entrance to the restaurant. He asked staff to clear a table for 4, in the middle of the room and we were quickly seated. He left and said nothing. It took a long time to be served for tea or a menu, lucky it wasn't one of our limited time breakfasts or we may have need to leave without it. The buffet had a good variety of foods that anyone would like, though some of the items were slow to replenish. I guessed it was a busy time to have breakfast and we went earlier the next day and didn't have any seating issues again. Service at breakfast improved over the next 2 days. As were were on a tour, we didn't have time to use the gym or the beautiful infinity swimming pool located on the roof. We did take some photos of the fantastic views from the pool area, though. We had a room that looked out to the entrance gates of the hotel and were happy to see armed guards patrolling the grounds and the large amount of security surveillance that took place every time a vehicle entered the grounds. That gave us piece of mind, at least. We were also happy to go through a metal detector and be patted down by a security guard every time we entered the building from the street. All in all, the stay was nice, the staff were mostly attentive and helpful, the decor affluent and comfortable. We met a young barman named Aman, who was very talented in his field and we were impressed by his vast knowledge of whisky and wines. It proved to be one of the best hotels on our tour and a stay here is highly recommended.

This hotel is one of the finest in India. The public areas are beautiful with elegant and sophisticated furnishings. Guest rooms are also beautiful with extremely comfortable beds and linens. Bath rooms are first class with every amenity. But what really makes this hotel memorable is due to the amazing staff that looks after your every need. Exceptionally caring and attentive team!

After leaving the beautiful Oberoi in Agra, our expectations were high. We were so disappointed in the service. Calling and waiting for over 40 minutes for our luggage, paying for a bartender's mistake and checkout taking over 20 minutes... Food was OK, Room was OK,
