Yes the Obamas stayed here but really tired and dated
ReviewedI understand Barack Obama stayed here during a Presidential visit, but this was awhile ago and the Presidential Suite must be far different than the rest of the hotel. This place is tired, tired, tired. And dated, dated, dated. Rooms are basic with really poor housekeeping (found dirty socks in my closet. My colleague in another room had a chair with stains all over.). The restaurant is something out of the 70's and it appears they have not done any renovations or updating in years.

ReviewedHotel is very clean and well maintained. The property itself is very nice, but there is not much around the location. The staff is very friendly and the WiFi worked great. I was able to get all my work done. Currently the hotel has some construction projects going on, but it was not a major inconvenience.

ReviewedThis hotel is a must if you can afford it. Not cheap but definitely worth it. I only spent two nights but this was top notch! Staff are very professional and the place is spotless, oh the food (my mouth is watering now) glorious. Excellent pool and many facilities from spa treatments to massage. This hotel is in new Kingston and outside you would be hard pressed to spot you were in Jamaica high rise buildings an amazing park nearby and I even saw a Hilton hotel easily comparable to the States. Two night cost me 425 but loved every minute and the class of people there (customers) are very business like and smart. So much more to mention but my fingers hurt lol. I have travelled 5 times this year alone and this hotel was definitely the best of my last two years. Puts Jamaica positively on the map!

ReviewedThere is nothing overly impressive about this property but nothing overly bad either. The staff was friendly. My upgraded room on the 16th floor was nice. It was spacious and had a huge balcony. My bathroom was spacious but I did find a ton of hair all over everything.... My towels, floor, walls, toilet etc... I also found hair on my sheets and pillows. The cleaning staff needs to spend more time making sure things are right before they leave. My safe was inoperative. Overall, the room just needed a little TLC to make it really nice. Even on the 16th floor I could clearly hear the constant honking of horns all day long. I think horn honking is a sport in Kingston, Jamaica and everyone is a pro! Breakfast was okay. The gym was decent and the pool was very nice.

ReviewedThe overall Hotel experience was good. The hotel was very tidy and well maintained. The food was good and the workers including restaurant staff, bar staff and front desk staff were very friendly. I have visited there twice before and was satisfied overall on all three visits.
