The Inn at Fulton Harbor has recently been re-opened after the damage sustained from Hurricane Harvey. Our lower-floor room was very clean. The pool (and spa) is well maintained and is nice and warm (although they did adhere to a strict "Closes at 10pm" policy.) In the morning they set out a continental breakfast (dry cereal, bagels, packaged pastries, and some juices.) The hotel does have a laundry machine available to guests. The hotel is directly across from Fulton Harbor and on the opposite corner of the popular Charlotte Plummers restaurant (I believe they have the same owners.) If you like to walk around Central Fulton, you can't beat the location. Once the fishing pier re-opens, it will also be within quick walking distance.

Fulton, which is within a 45 mile drive East of Corpus Christi, is a gem of a coastal town. We booked the Inn at Fulton Harbor's reception room for a business meeting, but it is clear that the Inn is a wonderful family destination. The rooms are large and each contain a fully equipped kitchenette, and there is a large congenial swimming pool on the grounds. There are a number of wonderful and extremely affordable restaurants and fish shops along the main road of Fulton as well. The harbor was hard hit by Hurricane Harvey, but is undergoing a restoration complete with a new pier. Fulton is close the the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, where sandhill and whooping cranes migrate to in October. All in all a very pleasant village.

    • room cleanliness lacking

Great pool, staff friendly, room size good - but the room cleanliness & maintenance was lacking. You had to lift the lever door handle to the bathroom instead of pushing it down (simple maintenance issue). There was visible dirt/debris in ceiling light globe in the bathroom (fix - remove globe & clean). The bathroom sink drained slow (drain-o, anyone?). But the biggest issue we had was the dirty floors. The ceramic tile floor & the grout between the tiles was dirty. Tile can be steam cleaned (we just had this done at our house & what a difference!), which greatly improves not only the look by removing the dirt but also the feel of the tile underfoot. The faux wood flooring also needs to be spray cleaned as it too felt dirty. I even kept my sandals on during our stay as the floors truly need cleaning! Oh, and the noise from the connecting room next door...it sounded like they were in our room. Thank god they didn't stay up late or our stay would have been totally ruined.

Awesome time. Kids 6,8 & 10. Loved the pool, walk right across the street for a small park, fishing off the ledge & watching the boats bring in their catch. Short walk to a selection of restaurants. Hotel only offers pastries and cereal for breakfast, not a hot meal. Beautiful sunsets over the water you can see from the hotel. Will go back!
