My husband and I had the most royal treatment by two amazing individuals at the Club Level at the Le Meridian Hotel in New Delhi, India. We could had not felt more special! Ravi and Gunjan went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Ravi even prepared a special tea with ginger, pepper and honey for my husbands soar throat . Congratulations to Le Meridian for a tremendous service orientes staff!

    • A great base for business travel!

      Reviewed 11 November 2019

Delhi was our base for a series of trips to cities in the north and the Meridien made the travel so much easier with great staff at the front desk and in handling our baggage (some of which we had to store). It was like coming home to friends and family when we would return. Rooms had everything a business traveler would want - so very clean and comfortable. The Business Office also provided great support. One of the best buffet breakfasts that we had during our trip with a wide variety of delicious Indian and western food as well. Good coffee. The top floor bar was also good for small business discussions. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. Kuldeep at the Front Desk check-in was especially helpful to us.

    • Could have been better!

The hotel is nice and the location is good but my experience was mixed. I was upgraded to the suite and the room was really good. They had complimentary wine and a room as big as a 2 bhk. They served me watermelon juice on arrival which was stale, one of my colleague had an upset stomach - wish they had been careful. This was after I asked for a replacement. The breakfast area is small - usually required to share tables or wait - wish they could manage the breakfast buffet better. The fitness room was really good and it had 3-4 trainers all the time - liked it. The lounge is good as well with happy hours in the evening - just wish they add more options to it. I am not sure about a return to this property, the staff is courteous but the stay wasn't upto the expectation - specially my colleague had a bad experience.

    • Just fine...

For some reason I was expecting more but this hotel is starting to show its age.. the service was very good, the breakfast was as expected, the exec lounge was normal... If you come expecting a five star hotel you will be disappointed. There are some amazing hotels in Delhi like the 2 ITC hotels which are much more luxurius.. If you want a business hotel without luxury I would say this is the place..

    • No peace in this hotel! Not good for light sleepers!

      Reviewed 08 November 2019

I am staying at this hotel right now and I have very mixed feelings about it. I am here for 9 nights and I can't praise more its friendly and helpful staff. Everyone is very kind and thoughtful. Rooms are a bit tired but overall OK, bed is comfy; the bathroom has obviously been recently renovated, looks nice and the shower has excellent water pressure. In a Club room they place in your bathroom a bowl of water with rose petals and provide a small bottle of rose water which is a very nice touch. What I can't get used to at this hotel is a CONSTANT NOISE. It feels like there is no sound insulation at all! All rooms are facing a big indoor court and every sound echos across. The cleaners are constantly doing something, I can hear them knocking on doors, rolling their trolleys, hoovering etc. There is a constant rustling noise outside of my room that just doesn't stop and it is very difficult to rest and have a good quality sleep when you can continuously hear some sounds outside. The noise did not stop for a second since I've started writing this review and now I can hear them serving tea in my neighbour's room and chatting. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO LIGHT SLEEPERS, to those who like peace and to those who find jet lag difficult! A few words about Club Lounge, the food selection is generally good, I did not have to go out to eat in the evenings, the choice of hot food and salads was totally satisfactory; the staff serves alcohol very generously during the happy hour, nearly insisting on you having more:-) There is a generous supply of bottled water in Club room. I did not have to buy water any single time. One last thing, there was a sticky spot on one of the bedside tables since the day I arrived, I am leaving tomorrow and it is still there. I did not use that side as I am traveling on my won but it's surprising they did not notice.
