    • One Of The Worst Lodging Experiences For Us

We should have known by the multiple police cars on the premises, as we arrived, that this place was not going to be good. Since we waited too long to reserve lodging for this area, this is the place we ended up at. This ended up being a disgusting experience. This ended up being a very little sleep experience. Let me explain. After waiting almost 15 minutes to check-in, I inquired as to why the police was present. The clerk stated that it was just a fight. Great, we were checking into the Fight Club hotel. The first rule about Fight Club hotel is you dont talk about Fight Club hotel. To save you from a terrible experience, I will talk about Fight Club hotel. We had reserved two rooms, one for my wife and I, and one for my father-in-law. We were given rooms on the first floor. If you desire sleep, the first floor is not what you want. The first floor rooms are like having the NY subway in the hall. I heard kids running and laughing at 2 AM. I heard women discussing their lustful desires for some male that they saw somewhere else in the hotel. I heard a conversation about a rash on someones leg (which I stuck my head out of the room and suggested Cortisone 10 and quiet). There were people banging against the wall. There was loud talking and laughing and making of noise. Two different times, there were arguing spouses. (He wasn't checking her out lady, OK?) It was like a contest to keep us awake. Maybe this hotel has a sleep deprivation program. This was all after what I will describe next The rooms looked OK upon initial entry, but as we were there, we made "discoveries. Our room had two beds. After seeing a white residue on the comforter of the first bed (Please be coffee creamer! Please be coffee creamer!), we decided to use the other bed. After this, we started looking over the room. There was a round spot in the wallpaper that we hope was not a secret camera. Of course, this hotel is not to be outdone by a Hyatt they left us a hair product and a battery in the closet. Being in a giving mood, they left a curly hair on the floor by the shower. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone that desires sleep, cleanliness, has self-respect, and wishes to not contract a disease. We stayed almost three months ago and I feel scuzzy from thinking back and writing about this experience. So why did we not leave and stay elsewhere? All of the other lodging was booked, or we would have left. This hotel ranks up there with the Super 8 in Kutztown, PA and the Motel 6 in Collinsville, IL, as the worst lodging experiences we have encountered. We have stayed in hotels across this country and the Hotel ML gets the distinction of being one of the worst. NOTE: They do not accept Discover.or the Good Housekeeping seal. DO NOT stay here. Sleep in your car, but not in their parking lot. Really. (Note to management of hotel: do not put your pasted response and offer to do better and invite me back. We will not ever stay here again. Your property has serious cleanliness and operational issues.)

The Hotel staff was excellent above all. Although my stay didn't go smoothly am thankful for the kind staff member of the Front desk at the water resort Ms. Angel/ Ange- who was very kind caring and understanding. She went above and beyond her title to help. She was most helpful and courteous. To me and my son. God the her she truly lives up to her name and job title. Also want to Thank Mr. Allen from the shuttle bus for all his assistance and kind nature. Truly made my stay most pleasing#!! Anet

When we arrived the hotel looked really nice and impressive on the outside. Inside was chaos. They have very long check in lines. They only have two people checking people in. The positive side we arrived early and our room was ready. So we were happy with that. But it was so so the rest of the day. The room we had was so so. It is dated and needed sprucing up. The cleaning wasn't good at all. A lot of dust. Also I went to use one of their little bar of soaps to wash my hands and the soap was wet and used when I took it out of the package. They took a used soap and put it back in the box!!! I check the other one and it was the same thing. That should NEVER happen. Another issue is that over one of our beds was a metal bar hanging out of the wall ready to hit someone in the head while sleeping. This was really dangerous. Didn't anybody who supposedly cleans the room even notice this thing??? Crazy to just leave it like that. That's a lawsuit big time if it actually fell and hurt someone. So we decided we will deal with it later. One more thing the rooms do not have microwaves. They have a conference room chair at the end of each hall way with a small old microwave on it's seat for the whole floor to use. We saw this on every floor. I honestly have never seen anything like that before. We just walked past it and my husband and I tried to stay positive in front of the kids. We were there only for one night and my kids were anxious to go eat and use the waterpark. We were provided as part of our package tickets for free breakfast but it was only good for the next morning. We went and decided to try their buffet. The buffet was ok. Not great and not poor. They had a good amount of options and it was all you could eat. During breakfast a woman came up very very upset. Someone took her cell phone off of her table. She stepped away for a second to grab something quick from the buffet and it was gone. Either the wait staff removed it on accident with her tray or someone walked by and swiped it. That poor woman had to spend a good part of her day reporting the incident. That chaos lasted throughout our breakfast. FYI: Do not leave any valuables around at all. Then we took the kids to the waterpark and outdoor pool. The waterpark was cute. It was very small and I should have researched it further on my end. It was too young for my kids. That is my fault. It is great for kids who are under the age of 10. Then we decided to go take a look at the outdoor pool. The outdoor pool what pretty good. However there were not enough tables or chairs to sit. The lounge chairs were cheap plastic and extremely low to the ground. I was afraid to sit on one because I thought one of us would break it. Then we decided to check out the arcade. The arcade was cute but small. So after walking around we decided to come up with a Plan B. We learned that up the road was a Funplex. We took the kids there. It was awesome. They had a wonderful time and they had things for them to do that were more for their age bracket. When we came back to the room my husband and boys said they didn't want to spend the night. So we packed everything back up and checked out. It was absolute chaos. You see they also have weddings and parties there. So many people arriving at the same time. But again only two people at the counter checking everyone in at peak check in time. Anyway I am not looking to bash this place. I am just being very honest in what we experienced the 8 hours we were there. We have never left a hotel the same day we checked in. So buyer beware.

I have come here for a conference and the conference rooms are pretty nice. The hotel rooms are pretty dated. The pool was pretty good and is outdoor. It's not the nicest place to stay but does the job.
