    • Pleasant stay & really accommodating staff

      Reviewed 18 August 2019

I stayed in this hotel / B&B to attend a meeting for work & found it very pleasant. Booking quite last minute in a tourist town I found it hard to find anything suitable (I couldnt justify spending a fortune but also wanted my own bathroom). The Chatsworth sat in the middle & was ideal. My single room was quite small but very comfortable - the bathroom in particular was TINY but its a single room so, why make it big enough for more than one person? The view of the promenade was nice too (although a little noisy until 10pm - the price you pay for being right on the beach!). You do get a bit of street noise at night & some of the guests did come back late & a little merry on Saturday so if youre a light sleeper maybe a room at the back would be better :) I slept fine. The best thing really was the staff - they were super friendly, really accommodating. My train was cancelled and I had to rush off before eating on my last day & they made me a bacon sandwich for the journey which was so kind. They were always around & always friendly and helpful. It wasnt a super fancy place to stay, but compared to some of the other accommodation online in Weymouth seemed a very fair price & I would definitely recommend staying here (the WiFi was also really fast).

    • Room with a view!

Just returned from great few days away. Cant fault the Chatsworth Hotel everything was above our expectations. My wife and I had the balcony room which had a view of the harbour my boys had a see view room. Both rooms had a great view, their room was bigger but ours was big enough for us. Breakfast was excellent loved the fresh strawberry's and melon for starters, the fry up was amazing, on one occasion we had our breakfast on the sun terrace watching the boats go by. Parking can be tricky although we found a space on arrival and was given a hotel permit so we didnt have to pay the daily rate. Dave the owner was very friendly and gave us plenty of information about Weymouth as it was our first time. Will definitely be returning to the Weymouth, there is so much to do and what we saw was amazing, we take away some good memories, also will be definitely returning to the Chatsworth thanks to all the team that work there.

    • Not bad but not worth 90 a night

We booked a standard double room overlooking the harbour. When we arrived we were offered an upgrade to a bigger room at the front overlooking the bay. The room was ok but not as good as we have stayed in close by for the same money. The bathroom especially needed updating, and I ended up with a lukewarm shower a couple of times. We were keen to try the seafood terrace but on arrival we were told that they were not serving food because of the weather. On our second evening of two there seemed to be a private party on the terrace so we couldn't go out there anyway. On the plus side It was good to be given a parking permit and the downstairs breakfast area was nicely decorated.

Fantastic bed and breakfast overlooking the harbour. My Father in law stayed for two nights at the Chatsworth, it was the first time in a long time he had been away on his own. Dave and kirstine were brilliant, helped him with his bags and mobility scooter, happy to make him a cuppa anytime, nothing was too much trouble. His room was lovely (Room 1) very clean and comfortable and overlooked the harbour. He was sad to leave and is already talking about visiting again!

    • Perfect location

This is a really great little hotel with rooms which have superb views of the harbour at the rear and the Bay at the front, we stayed in room 1 which looks onto The harbour and has a lovely bay window. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast really sets you up for the day and on sunny morning's you have the option of having breakfast on the terrace. To answer the free parking questions, Dave the owner has a number of parking permits that allow unrestricted parking on streets around the hotel so it is worthwhile calling and reserving one of these if they are available, failing that the municipal car park is very nearby and the charges are considerably cheaper than on street parking. Don't let a parking issue put you off staying here, every hotel has the same issue. We shall certainly return.
