Parking is at the back for 6 cars, parking two cars side by side, then behind them bumper to bumper. Not great. On our first night there was a car behind us so we were hemmed in. Initially given room on 3rd floor and almost left then, as there were 40+ stairs, I've had 2 knee replacements, husband has permanently fixed straight knee. To be fair owner offered us a different room, number 1 on the 1st floor which was better. Sorry but couldn't call this luxury guest house, sticky stair handrail, old fashioned bathroom, loo door warped & wouldn't close. Wardrobe door difficult to close, had to lift to close door, Needs maintenance definitely. Paid for a weeks holiday 24th-31st Aug and after 4 nights of trying to sleep in horrible lumpy bed we left this morning wasting 3 days of our holiday. I even slep on duvet (which was thick and heavy) trying to soften lumpy mattress. Feel very disappointed but decided we couldn't face another awful night. I expect owner will re-let room, but didn't ask for refund of 3 nights, guessed that would be a no. Certainly didn't live up to expectations.

    • Double Booking Disaster!!!!!!

Nice relaxing bank holiday weekend away ..... well that's what we thought until we arrived .... to be greeted by a smiley face that we had previously seen before, having stayed here back at Easter time and couldn't fault our stay, friendly lovely hosts and a homely cooked tasty breakfast, so we booked to stay again this bank holiday weekend......we had arrived this evening after work all excited to have a small break away from home and in the sunshine for the bank holiday weekend. To only find out that the room we had booked was double booked! Earlier this week I had emailed the B&B confirming we were booked for this weekend, which I was told by Jean that she hadn't seen it and that it must have gone to into her spam folder on the computer. I don't understand how you can take a booking 4 months in advance, even writing it in the diary when we booked it on our last visit and then double booking the room. Using the excuse of not seeing an email and that it went into the spam folder and that you don't open these emails as it makes your computer crash is totally unprofessional and not what would be expected from a competent B&B. How do you expect guests to communicate via email if you don't even look at them! We are utterly disappointed with this B&B and will certainly not be returning based on this experience. You have truly ruined my weekend away as my partner and I had were unable to find somewhere else to stay meaning we have had to travel back home this evening after an already long day. I have wasted my time and petrol this evening and to only be apologised with a "sorry" isn't good enough. We will not be recommending this B&B to anyone.

This is a lovely traditional B &B with some five star touches. We stayed for 8 days and every day we were made to feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. There is parking and it is in a good location for all of the sea front. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with small fridges in each. Keys are given so there is no restriction to coming in and out. All in all I would highly recommend this for its overall comfort and very good breakfast.

From moment we arrived to leaving we were made to feel welcome. Would highly recommend staying here and intend on staying in near future. Lovely place and hostess lovely and friendly. House was very homely, clean and tidy and advice was given about nice places to eat as well as near by places to visit. Parking was free and secure.
