We booked the hotel based on the reviews we had seen hon here based on fantastic breakfasts and dinners. I booked it about 2 months ago, paid in full and was really looking forwards to it. Anyway went Monday just gone. Knocked on the door, no answer. Rang the bell, no answer. Luckily theres a poster giving a mobile number for emergencies. Rang it we have no bookings today. Anyway they finally came 15 minutes later, still telling me there was no booking. But then opened the booking sheet and there it was. But told no dinners. I had email confirmation so said thats what Id paid for, she said about pizza and chips, I said that will do me. But then decided to give us 10 back each (cant really get a lot for 2.50 for dinner, when you was expecting a three course meal, but at least it was something back.) but when you was expecting a meal its not on really as Id budgeted based on what Id paid for. Just handed the keys and off you pop. The room wasnt the one Id booked. The double bed played a tune when you turned over. Id be surprised if there wasnt a spring that hadnt burst. I lifted the base cover up - it was ditched. Room itself was clean. Absolutely no heating at all, it was freezing and I have a baby. Theres a draft - looks like the glass has gone in the window based on the condensation. Not much hot water out the taps. Luckily I had a sleepsuit or Id have been asking for the heating to be put on as for the money paid 47.50 by the time the tenner back is took off it should be on. It would have been cheaper and warmer in travelodge. Breakfast was warm, help yourself. First few days was warbuton bread then I saw they bought cheaper bread which for the price is disappointing. No tomatos. But it was ok, nothing special. I wouldnt return, mainly because I dont go away to freeze and the new lot while are nice arent very organised and caused a lot of distress after saying we had no booking, especially as we had already paid Oh and a family told us they used to get free parking as they had been before - these charge 5 a night. Plus theyve still got leaflets in the hotel advertising free parking and the bed breakfast and evening meal.

My mother and father in law booked this hotel In June to go in August and sent a twenty pound deposit in advance for four nights bed and breakfast and evening meal When they arrived they were told they were only getting bed and breakfast for the same money they had booked for, They asked if they would get money back for the lack of evening meal but the new owners didnt seem to understand this. They left without getting there deposit back as the owners denied ever getting this and had to traipse around Blackpool looking for somewhere else to stay which is not easy at 83 and 86 years old. They have stayed at this Hotel previously and have had a lovely time but now under new ownership we wouldnt advise a visit.
