The bar is well stocked n has a great ambience. Special mention of the general manager Mr Sharma who takes great care of all guests n caters to all their needs n comforts. Do visit the Masai Market for shopping souvenirs. It is a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

The African Tulip is beautifully constructed with red African Tulips spread all over the premises. The hospitality is exceptional right from the GM to the doorman. The restaurant and food is great too. Rooms are spacious and the full wall size photos of wildlife in the corridors are brilliant.

I stayed at the African Tulip for 3 nights before and after my safari. The Tulip was my favorite hotel. The rooms are large and well-appointed. The location is quiet but convenient. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool area is lovely - pretty, quiet and private. The food was excellent especially the breakfst buffet. The food staff members are very accomodating - you can eat at the bar, the pool, the dining room or in your room. The African Tulip is just what you want in a hotel after a long flight or a great safari.

    • Excellent hotel, real value for money, super friendly staff

We stayed one night in tulip after climbing Kilimanjaro. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious with all facilities. The beds are super comfy, the showers have high pressure hot water at all times, great A/C . The food in the restaurant was very good. Above all the service was fantastic. The staff was super friendly starting from the manager who was hands on everywhere and all the way down to the reception, waiters porters etc. We left our baggage to go to Safari, when we returned to pick it up before our flight we were given a complimentary room to shower and get organized. One small remark, there is no lift if that is important to you (only two floors). Sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the hotel. Definitely recommended if you are in Arusha for whatever the reason. Thank you Tulip

    • Beautiful boutique hotel

We spent 2 nights at the African Tulip at the beginning of our Safari. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful from the welcoming juice at check-in to our check out and morning departure 2 days later. Whether at the reception area, gift shop, bar, restaurant, pool area, or hallways, the staff always greeted us with a smile and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is quite beautiful, with a colonial look, African decor and beautiful grounds. The rooms were clean, with a wonderful bay window and a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good, with a large selection of food from cereal, yogurt, breads, fruit and cheeses, to eggs cooked to order, roasted tomatoes, noodles and potatoes, bacon, ham and more. They prepared a very good hot lunch for our day trip to Arusha National Park, and the dinner menu offered a nice selection of dishes. Unfortunately we werent there long enough to try them all. The bar was well stocked and comfortable, great for a relaxing late afternoon drink. The manager was also very visible, checking with us during meals and in the common areas, assuring that all was well. A wonderful start to our 19 days in Tanzania!
