We had a lovely few days at Eyrarbakki in a one bedroomed sea view apartment. It was the perfect way to end a three week trip around Iceland where we stayed in other HI hostels. Well equipped and clean. Highly recommended.

    • Close to Floi Nature Reserve

We stayed at a studio apartment for two nights last month. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The Bonus supermarket was 10 minutes away in Selfoss. We loved being near the Floi Nature Reserve so we could go bird watching in the mornings. I was very happy that we were allowed to check in early because we really needed to take a nap as we weren't able to sleep on the plane. Our power nap allowed us to venture out and do the Golden Circle beginning around 5:30 pm, thus missing all the crowds!

    • My new home away from home

I love this place and the town is central to many options in Iceland. Our studio apartment was spacious and it was great to cook our own meals. The seawall behind the hotel was one of my favorite spots to have breakfast or take a nightly walk. (My son would even take midnight walks!) I felt very at home here, and it was very hard to leave...but already planning my trip back!

    • Great Place to Stay in the South

      Reviewed 01 May 2019

We stayed one night in Bakki Hostel deluxe studio apartment. The low row of apartments is situated in a pretty seaside town directly by the beach (nice walking path). The building looks quite simple from outside; each apartment had a small front patio with outdoor furniture. Inside, there was a small hall, bathroom with roomy shower, and a large room with a kitchenette. It was warm, nicely furnished and clean. The beds were comfy with good quality bedding. The kitchenette area had a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and electric kettle and a good selection of teas and coffee. It had utensils, pots and serving ware for basic cooking. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. There was a free Wi-Fi and Netflix. We enjoyed staying in Bakki, it was a cozy, quiet place, but close to Selfoss and the Ring road. We would definitely recommend the place.
