    • A for view D- for cleanliness

      Reviewed 1 day ago

Just got back from a stay here for 4 nights. We were encouraged by the positive TripAdvisor reviews. To be honest however felt really disappointed. The location and view was great but were really let down by cleanliness. The key to a good accommodation is when a guest walks in they feel no one has stayed there before. Unfortunately it seemed clear that the cleaning routine was a quick whip around at best. A used lubricant packet beside bedside table in the main room. Dust and hair on floor and skirting boards. Oily palm prints on the windows. Finger marks all over the kitchen cabinets. Thick grease on the overhead kitchen glass cabinets. Stains on the carpets. What looked like bird poo on the inside of the window. I think the photo of their own magazine advertising their brand in the room sums it up well. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I would personally advise people to look elsewhere.

    • Cleanliness puts this place down

There are quite a few positives about this accommodation: excellent location with 5 star views you cannot fault, well equipped kitchen, the bread delivered daily for breakfast is superb from a famous local bakery, lovely in room tea selection, comfortable bed. However this accommodation is more than 10 years old, there is wear and tear but what really lets this place down is the cleanliness. There are hand prints on the windows, dirty countertops, hand prints on kitchen cupboard doors, dirt on floor, hair on floor of bathroom, mould in shower. This place needs a good clean in between guests deserve a better review.

    • Well Appointed

      Reviewed 18 February 2020

We stayed here in January for a little over two weeks in a lake view apartment and were very impressed by the apartment which looked exactly the same as the pictures on the website which is not always the case. There is everything you could need from cooking facilities and utensils down to electric blanket. The apartment was clean although a little dusty. The lake view apartments have beautiful views and are well worth the extra money. They are close to the road and a little noisy at times but this is not a problem and we regularly sat on the balcony or with the sliding doors open in the evening. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment and is very quiet in terms of road noise. Unfortunately though sound proofing is not great, particularly in this area which is one of the reasons I didnt give these apartments full marks. Whilst not the fault of the hosts, we were regularly woken by the sound of early alarms (6am), late night showers (midnight/1 am). On one occasion the guests in the one bedroom studio with whom we shared washing machine and tumble drier did several loads of washing and drying again about midnight (popular time) until I had to ask them to stop. This is despite a sign asking guests not to use them after 10pm (perhaps the sign needs to be in other languages). We even had someone ring our doorbell repeatedly at 2am on one occasion. Perhaps we were just unlucky during our stay. The other reason I have marked the apartment down is despite the fact we were there for just over two weeks we had no change of towels or sheets. Whilst I was aware we would not have a daily cleaning service which was fine I didnt realise that a change of linen was an extra cost. Given that the apartment was so well appointed I would have been happy with spare linens which we could change ourselves. I note a previous review mentioned a problem with checking in, were sent clear check in instructions so no issues. We have been to Queenstown several times visiting family and usually stay in an apartment close by and despite the negative comments above I would try these apartments again.

    • Fantastic views and spacious apartment

We stayed in a Lake View Swiss-SuperSuite over the NY period which was super spacious with fantastic views of the lake. Whilst it's close to the road we weren't really bothered by the noise even when sitting out on the balcony. An easy enough walk into town.

    • Large 2 bed apartment and spotless.

      Reviewed 25 January 2020

We stayed in a mountain view apartment which had the benefit of a terrace. Large living room with huge bifold doors opening up onto the terrace. Extremely clean apartment with 2 large bathrooms. Breakfast was delivered every morning as they don't have their own kitchen which was a nice touch. Located a 10 minute from the shops and restaurants. The front apartments face the road which is very busy. The unit we stayed in was the block behind and you could not hear the traffic.
