    • Super eight is great

Super eight is great. The people who work at this motel make it an experience that you can only get from visiting close family. They are friendly and considerate and go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. Britney the front desk manager was so helpful in finding the best room for my 93-year-old mother and suggesting appropriate activities. Emily who cleaned our rooms also treated my mother like her own. In addition, the view outside the window was spectacular. The motel is located on a little lake with greenery all around and birds and wildlife Doing as well as fishing outside the door.

My wife and I had been here before and had a good experience with our dog. Not this time! There was no air conditioning in our room. After alerting the front desk, we were moved to a second room. Same thing! The desk clerk examined our rooms, apologized and agreed. I asked him what could be done about it. He gave us a refund and called the nearby Miami Hotel which was fabulous. No reimbursement or other compensation for our poor experience and higher expense for a last minute reservation. I told him to expect the online review you are seeing now. My opinion of Wynham has been significantly lowered.

    • Nice facility, Horrible Billing and Attitudes

The check in/check out and stay were all satisfactory. What was not at all satisfactory was the charges and subsequent actions to follow when I called to question them after the charge posted to my card. Upon my reservation I received the confirmation email showing $97.87 as the "Final" charges. The actual charge posted to my debit card was $99.49, a $1.62 increase. I called the Front desk at the Rochester location to ask why. I was told it was a secondary tax. I questioned why it was not disclosed and the clerk said she would refund it. Somehow the clerk errored and refunded $6.99 on 7/28/19. On 7/29/19 I was then charged back the $6.99. On 7/30/19 I was again refunded $6.99 and then on 7/31/19 charged back $5.37. THis merry go round playing with my account caused a balance problem and I ended up with a $35 insuffecient funds charge because tmy card is attached to my checking where I only keep a balance for known expenditures (keep my funds in savings for the interest etc.). So I called ans spoke to the ROchester clerk about this and she transferred me to the reservations line where I explained this. THe WOman there was extremely rude and told me the $35 charge was "not her problem". I then told her I was going to call corporate and pursue this and make a complaint on her unprofessional and rude service. She refused to give me her name and hung up on me. I did follow up with a call to the corporate number on 8/2/19 and conveyed all of this and was told I would get a call back to discuss. As I write this today (8/8/19) I have not received that call. I will never spend my money at a Super 8, or any Wyndham affiliated hotel ever again!

The most expensive, and hottest, inconvenient hotel room on our 3 day trip in upstate new York. We went into New York city and stayed on Time Square for cheaper, and a much nicer hotel room the very next night, Would never stay here again, Hotel was more like a motel. But the workers were very nice people!

3 different hotel rooms later and it still smelled of mold and mildew. Staff was unfriendly and never appologized for anything. Apparently it took all day to wash towels because I waited almost 10 hours to get them after asking three times. Used one credit card to reserve and lapa with another, so they charged them both and then told me I was wrong. REALLY!!! Went down for breakfast on Sunday at 7:30, there was no breakfast to be had, everything was empty and never restocked including the coffee. This all while people were complaining about it and thstaff just stood there looking incompetent never even appologized. Horrible hotel and service. I wouldn't stay here again if I was homeless.
