    • Lovely Staff - Small Friendly Hotel

      Reviewed 07 September 2019

Firstly lovely friendly very clean small hotel. Staff are very attentive and restaurant Sacre is excellent standard & reasonably priced. Few things require changing - Hot buffet breakfast is COLD- insufficient equipment to enable consistent temperature maintained. Breakfast served in very small area & when hotel is fully booked this area can get very congested and chaotic. Insufficient toaster for size of accommodation, basically a four slice household toaster to serve a hotel with over 40 rooms is inadequate. Plates and cutlery not replenished frequently, inadequate cups & glasses. Also sunbeds by pool inadequate for size of hotel, not enough to go round which can cause some issues with reserving of beds early morning. Lovely beach nearby though so always find somewhere to catch some rays. Location is quite remote so require to walk a substantial distance to reach bus stop & alternative restaurants etc. On the whole a lovely wee gem of a hotel just a few things require changing to make it perfect.

We always go all inclusive normally 3/4 times a year and normally go Egypt, turkey, Marrakech, Tunisia, Cyprus but I just put in tui app bed and breakfast with full trip advisor stars and this place popped up, so we booked it and thought we've never been to Bulgaria so let's try it...well..this little hotel is a absolute gem, great bedroom, great bathroom, great lounge, great balcony, small but good pool and tidy pool area with great pool beds, sea view, great restaurant decent good value for money, great breakfast included...there is also a little fish restaurant 2 mins away don't like fish but has great reviews, we did do our own lunch at times (no hob) but microwave sink and a decent fridge freezer, TV in bedroom and lounge and a kettle, the best air con ever, polite friendly staff always clean shop is a 5/8 min walk, main town 5/10 mins in taxi or 30/40 walk on beach the best beach is out the hotel turn left past fish restaurant keep walking you will find it and a view of the old complaints at all!!!!! One bit of advice to hotel (and it's not a complaint) spread the sunloungers around so there not so close to each other plenty of room to do it...for kids mmmm no entertainment but for a relaxing holiday hotel that's more than a 3* then defo try this...we will be back for sure...views are great camera played up so only got a couple of views sorry!!

Mine and my husbands first time in Bulgaria and staying at St Panteleimon Hotel and we will be coming back. The staff have been fantastic nothing too small to help you and so very friendly. Seriously love this place. The hotel is so clean, very spacious hotel room and such a comfy bed. The food at th hotel is also really good. Its about a 40 min walk into the beautiful, world heritage status Nessebar. Stunning place with beautiful cobbled streeets and bars/restaurants. If you fancy a more rowdy scene then Sunny Beach is like Benidorm! We will defo be coming back here and to this hotel. When you read the reviews do believe them as its true and enjoy your holiday .

It certainly was as good as the reviews nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff whatever you needed. The rooms were very spacious with good air conditioning we had a one bedroom apartment with wonderful views out to sea,it had two televisions, a fridge, kettle & microwave & hairdryer. The pool area was nice you could always get a sun bed whatever time it was, there is a nice sized pool. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice for everyone in the evening or lunchtime you could eat in the adjoining restaurant Sacre which you got 10% discount if staying in the hotel the food was beautiful plenty of variety on the menu & reasonable prices. Definitely deserves top rating lots of lovely helpful hardworking staff would really recommend!

    • A beautiful, clean hotel in lovely, quiet surroundings

      Reviewed 28 August 2019

Where to start?! First of all, if I could sum this hotel up in a single word, it would be 'clean'. It's spotless - the staff work so hard to maintain the hotel. Our room was cleaned every day, the pool area is always immaculate, the tables surrounding the pool were always tidy etc. The good service doesn't stop there though - they couldn't do enough for us during our week's stay. The bar staff are always pleasant and eager to help, the reception staff likewise - if you ever need to book a taxi either from the hotel or returning to it, ask them to sort it for you for the best rates and a very speedy service. Thanks to you all for working so hard to make our stay so memorable. Even though it was mid-August, we never had any problems finding a sun lounger by the pool at any time of day. Those wanting entertainment and a more lively atmosphere are better off looking elsewhere, but that was the opposite of what we wanted. It was nice to see kids playing in the pool regularly but it was never too noisy or boisterous. The hotel bar does some delicious cocktails - I recommend the strawberry daiquiris. If you just want draught beer, it's very cheap and you get 10% off as hotel guests. Breakfast was perfectly fine - a standard buffet affair with a mixture of cooked food and fruit/cereals. The restaurant which is part of the hotel complex is brilliant - we ate there regularly. The sea bass and octopus dishes were sublime. It's very good quality and very good value and I will review Sacre separately to reflect that! A few people have mentioned the walk to the main road being a negative but it's fine. It's only a 5 minute stroll and it's lit up at night. Although buses/coaches won't go down there (you need to go to the bus stop by the nearby supermarket for any excursions), taxis do so you can wait just outside reception. Old Nessebar is a delight and it's a 30-40 minute walk away, or just 10 lev for a taxi. We tended to taxi it down there and walk back, sometimes along the beach via one of the several beach bars to break up the walk. As for other nearby locations - the beach right next to the hotel is very nice, never too busy and very convenient. On the other side, the sand dunes are pretty and the beach just beyond that is a bit busier but certainly not too bad. The southern point on that beach is a nudists beach though, so maybe wander further towards Old Nessebar if that's not your thing....! We had a smallish room, with a lovely balcony which looked out towards the sand dunes behind the hotel. So not the best view on offer but still perfectly pleasant and it was great to enjoy some wine sat outside before our evening meals. The bed was EXCEPTIONALLY comfy and we slept very well indeed as a result. The shower was ace. To be incredibly picky, I only have a couple of very minor criticisms in the interest of feedback and they're both related to the room. 1. More mirrors needed - there's only the one in the bathroom. 2. More storage would be beneficial. We only had 1 drawer between 2 of us (maybe bedside cabinets on each side?), and there wasn't much in the way of coat hangers (though I'm sure reception would have obliged if we'd have asked). The fact that these are the only things either of us could think of shows how highly we rated this hotel and it certainly isn't anywhere near enough for us to consider lowering the score which is easily a 5/5.
