    • Hotel with Excellent Location

      4.0

I had an opportunity to stay in this hotel during my last trip to Brisbane because of a business conference held there. The situation was tense because of COVID-19 but the hotel was well prepared to handle it. There were hand sanitizers everywhere for guest to use. I was given a very nice room at the executive level due to my Platinum status. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, what impressed me most was the excellent location of the hotel. It was built on top of the Brisbane Central Train Station. You could take a train from the airport directly to the hotel in less than 45 minutes. There are so many shopping malls and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that you would be spoilt for choice. To add to the fun, the hotel as an excellent fine dining restaurant call Prive249. They served fusion French, Italian cuisine. With the limited nights I was there, I was only able to try a few main courses. They were the lamb rack, lobster linguine and the tenderloin and lobster tail (surf and turf). They taste simply delicious and in fact the surf and turf was so good, I had to eat it twice on 2 consecutive nights. The price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I would go so far to say that any guest who did not eat at Prive249 would have wasted their stay if they did not try the food there at least once. Unfortunately this restaurant is only opened for dinner. If not I would have taken my lunch there as well. Their buffet restaurant, Thymes, served very good food with a wide variety of choices. This restaurant is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit Brisbane.

I have travelled the world and one of my favorite hotel chain is Sofitel and their club floor's. Well just arrived in the afternoon to be welcomed to the poorest club floor I have ever seen for afternoon tea. I was at the Brisbane Pullman a few weeks ago and a cheaper hotel and hands down better afternoon tea.the photo's tell all.

This is a lovely Hotel, we really couldn`t fault it. Big room, large King bed and very quiet. The buffet breakfast really was extensive, something for everyone. Staff extremely helpful. The gym for me was perfect, I had the gym to myself early morning, but plenty of treadmills. The railway is directly under the hotel and just in easy reach of town. I would certainly come again.

Booked for one night after coming back from gold coast. Really impressed with size of hotel room. Very friendly staff. Pool was a real treat. Breakfast was of an excellent standard and a really good choice. Ideally located for central train station for train back to airport. Brisbane is a wonderful city and this hotel was the perfect way to end a marvelous holiday.

    • Definitely get Club Millesime included if you can

We stayed here for 3 nights (Business Trip - 2 couples). I must say the room was nice (but really just a hotel room) and our room 2906 did smell like it hadn't been used in a while (a little musty). The facilities at this hotel are great. The pool is nice, clean and offers morning sun and afternoon shade. The Club Millesime Lounge is definitely worth the extra $$ if you can stretch the budget with the a la carte menu for breakfast, the all day refreshments (non-alcoholic) and then the evening hot canaps and drinks. The Thyme2 Restaurant for the buffet dinner was great, fresh seafood, salads, hot dishes with a wide variety and a delicious dessert station.
