We were greeted with warm towels and fizz on arrival and then escorted to our tent - sheer quality, luxury and romance ! The tent included many fine details such as a torch, hand-made toiletries and a turn-down service with hot water bottles in our bed. We enjoyed drinks around the camp fire chatting to other guest followed by a delicious Thali meal served with style. We were woken with Morning bed tea and cookies before our Morning game drive. Prior to the drive, we had ginger tea, porridge with honey & brandy. After an hour of fascinating flora and fauna, we stopped at sunrise for coffee & cake on the Maruti Gypsy Jeep which was supplied with water, blankets, binoculars and goggles for protection against wind & dust. Our driver and guide on both days were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to see a young male tiger but the other animals: peacocks, bats, monkeys, deer, birds were just as beautiful. On our return, breakfast was kedgeree, fresh fruit and then a relax around our tent reading and listening to the birds ! Our second night dinner was also in the open air with fire pits and our table lit by lanterns & candles. The food and service was again perfect and all grown on the hotels farm. On our last game drive, we went to a different area of the national park : viewing the 1,000 year old fort on top on the ridge; the terrain was more varied. The sunrise was stunning. After our final delicious breakfast, we requested a picnic for our onward journey that was provided free of charge. We were pleased to note that the tipping policy was at the end of our stay and shared amongst all the staff everyone we met was calm & attentive. Overall, an unforgettable experience with excellent attention to detail all round. Thank-you.

    • Tigers and Tented Luxury - highly, highly recommend

Our group spent 3 nights here, with peak temperatures of 40+C during the day - a better time of the year to spot tigers than durning the cooler months. We loved everything about this camp: Kind, caring and attentive staff, with smiles that came from the heart, it felt like we were being welcomed by a family into their exquisite safari home. Professional, knowledgeable employees with attention to detail, and the desire to make our stay as perfect as possible. Loved the luxury tents, reminded me in a strange way of being in Southern Africa - just replace the African leopard with Indian tiger! Super comfortable beds and everything you would need in the luxury tented bathroom. Food: Fantastic. Every meal a blend of delicious tastes, with much of the ingredients coming straight out of their garden. We learnt a few cooking tips from the very talented and cheerful chef and enjoyed evening meals outdoors, under the stars. And ... yes ... we saw tigers!! The absolute highlight of our stay, for sure. Magnificent Noori and Noor. And at the same time, there is also so much other animal and bird life to enjoy, so that it becomes a full safari experience, not just a quest to see tigers. Thank you to all at Sher Bagh for our magical stay - Neeraj, Piyush, Ritu, also to our incredible safari guide Yad and driver Zahir, and then a special thank you to Jethu for looking after us so well.

We stayed for 4 nights, very comfortable tent, service was amazing, every night we dined in a different location, excellent food. The location for the reserve was perfect, a short drive and we were in the park. We were lucky to see tigers 4 out of 6 game drives. We would highly recommend Sher Bagh to stay.

    • Perfect place for tiger spotting

We spent three nights here and everything about it is perfect. Wonderful tents, excellent food and service. The camp is beautifully laid out, is incredibly pretty, and has a superb atmosphere. We loved having evening drinks and nibbles around the campfire, chatting with other guests. Each night on retiring to our tent we found little themed, wrapped gifts on our pillow. But best of all were the game drives - immaculately organised. Our guide Ash, and driver/guide Shamji were amazing - they worked so hard and we were lucky to have four tiger sightings, as well as seeing lots of other wild-life and birds. They were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and good company. We opted for a full day safari on one day, which is quite a long time to be in the jeep, but we had our best tiger sightings after 9.30 when the early drives finish. Tips - it can get quite chilly at the start of the day - a light fleece that you can discard later is useful (and say yes to the offered blankets). Long sleeved tops and trousers rather than shorts will stop you having to worry about suncream. A hat with a chinstrap of sorts is needed to keep the sun off your neck. The tracks are bumpy and the jeeps go over rough ground - speed sometimes necessary - I wish I'd worn a sports bra! This is a really special place - I'd love to go back and I highly recommend it.
