      Lovely place, our two night stay at Sarang has been so sweet. Everything was just spot on, the food, Cottage, Safari, Pool and the Staffs were always there with great hospitality. We will visit again.

      I immediately fell in love with Sarang once I arrived there. The place is just not another resort, it is an experience in itself. The place is beautifully located in middle of jungle without disturbing the wildlife. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is amazing.The staffs are there to serve you and they only make your experience richer and that includes the owner of the property himself. Moreover, the birds...their colors..their sounds...was emotionally beautiful. I would recommend anyone who is planning to travel to Chitwan to stay in Sarang.

      My colleague and I stayed for 2 nights in early July. We were impressed from the moment we got there and were made to feel very welcomed and comfortable. We were on a business trip but had one day to spend time in the resort. The pool was amazing. We spent a full day in it as the temperatures were high. We also did a jeep safari and canoe trip with Hark Bahadur as the excellent guide. He was very knowledgable and it was clear he has a love for the animals and wildlife. He was fantastic. His English was great and he answered all of our questions. He made sure we felt safe and comfortable. All of the staff in the resort made us feel like we were the only guests there. They waited on our every need and even adapted the meal on the night to something of our preference. They work incredibly hard and are very professional. Our room had a lovely view of the jungle and we were just out of reach of the WiFi but we were impressed that we could access WiFi in the pool and in the restaurant. Overall, a fantastic stay and a lovely place to switch off and get back in touch with nature. We both 100% will recommend to our colleagues when they travel next year.

    • Worst Hotel experience ever.

      It was April and the Nepali new year and because of the rooms booked out where we intended to go, we got recomended to Sarang saying it was a similar good budget place. We were 2 couples, we have been to Chitwan many times and elsewhere in Nepal and abroad. The reviews seemed good, pictures were nice so after a quick confirmation with the owner regarding a full board package of nrs 18000 per room for 2 rooms but without the elephant ride for 2 of us and jeep safari extra, we arrived. Location nice, rooms nice. The Nepali set lunch on arrival was tasty - dal bhat cauliflower curry, only that it was what we ate for lunch and dinner that day and the next too. Breakfasts were very bad, service though the staff seemed to try was disorganized and staff seem to be frustrated and under trained. The place seemed to be disorganized overall but it was just the begining. Pool was okay, the elephant ride was fine but didnt see any wildlife. The jungle jeep safari next day made us wait almost an hr in the morning. The guide was totally inept and lacked any wildlife knowledge or didnt even try. Tiger Tops, Barahi and Meghauli Serai guests saw a tiger at the Reu river and others communicated and came to see it again for over an hr there. Our guides didnt "understand" the message and when we did reach there we missed it by 5 min. Packed breakfast was bad but edible. Jeep broke down in the middle of the day. Took the resort 3 hrs to send relief. They had 3 or 3 vehicles and drivers too. Sent relief with another guest vehicle after making us wait in the heat for 3 hrs and another 1 hr to get it fixed. Total nuisance. Waste of day. Reached the hotel at almost 5. Saw some monkeys some deer and 3 rhinos. We had to ask the hotel to send a lunch pack as we hadnt eaten anything besides the tiny sandwiches and boiled eggs. They didnt bother to send anything for the guide or driver, had to share. Wasn't enough honestly. Too tired and also no time, we missed the canoe and sundowner. The owner promised to "make up". Complimentary barbeque was bad. Chicken okay but the pork was raw inside. Left it and went to bed exhausted. On checkout we were presented with 4 different bills last being of nrs 82,000 after the manager proved uncapable of any logic and was totally uncourteous, we approached the owner who bluntly argued the package agreed on was per person. Checking the call records and sms conversation shows no mention of per person. Jeep breaking down was an "accident" but why did we have to wait hungry and thirsty in the heat for 4 hrs? Accident probably. Missed canoe and 1 elephant ride less was our choice according to him. With the owner futile and caring less and the manager getting pathetic on the verge of hostile we paid and left saying we shall write a review about this trip to which the manager replied - Write what ever you want we don't care. It won't affect our business. Conclusion - We stayed at a 2-2.5 star hotel with pathetic management and service but paid for a premium 5 star accomodation we could get for even less with excellent service, food and activities. Please confirm their rates per room are per person or couple!

      We stayed for 3 days , fantastic experience,we went on a river canoe ,saw 15 rhinoceros in total on our safari our guide Ram was excellent finding the rhinos,a sloth bear,deer,so many birds,we loved the elephant bathing in the river ,only fault would be no fridge in the rooms,the rooms were very clean no fault at all,the food was beautiful ,very fresh and different menus, breakfast was also delicious a great place to relax, beautiful pool area with a bar ..we would not hesitate to recommend
