    • Nice quiet hotel, great service

      Reviewed 07 June 2019

We stayed in Hotel Andreas for a week skiing with Crystal Ski and would definitely return. It is a small hotel focusing on personal service. The location is a short walk (5-10 mins in normal footwear) from the centre of Canazei or there are ski bus stops just outside the hotel door with buses running in both directions every 10-15 minutes. We had booked a junior suite but on arrival had been upgraded to another room (the Romantic ?) which was spacious and double aspect with lovely views over the forest and mountains. The bathroom was spacious with lots of hot water. There was a TV but we didn't see any English channels The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. There is a reception area and a stylish modern sitting area either of which can be used for a coffee or drink from the bar. The food was generally very good quality and I must thank them for handing my gluten intolerance, the gluten free options were excellent. The occasional course was a bit strange but maybe that is our English palate. There is a salad bar each evening plus three courses and a good selection of local wines. Breakfast was a traditional Italian buffet. The only downside is the coffee at breakfast was from a self service machine which was ok but I do like a good Italian cappuccino for breakfast ! They always made sure I had some gluten free bread and choices. For skiers/boarders each room has a dedicated locker with boot warmers, it is maybe 100 m walk from the storage room to the nearest ski bus stop. You are on the main route so can get the bus in either direction along the Val di Fassa giving you access to 4 gondolas within a short bus trip (ca 5 mins) and others in Possa which are a bit further (maybe 15-20 minutes).

    • Great food, comfy rooms - friendly staff

      Reviewed 19 March 2019

Yes, the Hotel Andreas is worth its four stars! We stayed for a week, and the dinners were extensive and very tasty. Rooms (324, 325) were large, and comfortable. Perhaps next time well try to get rooms facing the back and not towards the main road. The staff is very friendly and they did everything to make us happy! The ski-bus is just outside - get 6 euro bus pass at the reception, for a week. The wellness spa is included: jacuzzi, sauna etc. But the showers need to be fixed... My inly slightly negative remark would be about the many TV channels - we could not find any channel in English, like CNN or BBC etc.

    • Perfect Location for Cycling Base

      Reviewed 15 July 2018

16 cyclists from Dublin set Hotel Andreas as our base for 4 days of glorious cycling from Canazei. Our stay could not have gone any better. Where to start - Accommodation: All 16 stayed in mixture of double, single or twin rooms, no complaints from anyone. Rooms have recently been decorated with a modern twist. Food: Breakfast was included, with a good continental breakfast and plenty of choice. Additional option of eggs cooked to your choice. Dinner had been arranged with Andreas and was beyond expectations and extremely reasonable. Modern twist of local Italian food. Staff: Service with a smile. Very helpful and friendly, especially our waitress. Spa: Sauna and steam room, and ease the aching muscles. Nice to have the luxury. Our bikes were stored in the hotel's secure garage, one less worry to think about!! Noticed there was a bike stand if needed, handy for anyone needing to fix or alter their setup. Town is located near multiple climbs, and at the base of Passo Pordoi. 100% recommend and we'll be back to stay at Hotel Andreas.

    • Very convenient choice for family skiing

      Reviewed 12 February 2016

The hotel is very good choice for family skiing in Dolomites. Rooms are really nice, well equipped and modern . Junior suites are perfect for family. Half board is good, especially dinners are really delicious , really gourmet menus. Staff is very kind. Wellness part is small, but also nice Only concern that ski lifts are not close, need to take ski bus.

Very nice and friendly staff. Fantastic and large room. Lucky for us, hotel was empty (low season Jan) and we got an upgrade to a even nicer room. Thank you Andrea. Skibuss just outside of the hotel so no long walks with the sky gear. Highly recommended.
