The hotel location and decor are good. Thanks for the upgrade. The room is clean and tidy. The food at the lounge is bad. Amazing pool, average breakfast. Service needs to work on. It aint my first Rosewood hotel, it sure wont be my last one.

    • Magical!

      Reviewed 27 April 2020

What can I say? The stay at Rosewood Beijing was magic. After about 20 or 24 hours of some grueling air travel, including figuring out how to get a taxi and exiting Beijing airport, it was quite a treat checking into the Rosewood Beijing. Although I'm a nobody, they treated me like a VIP, upgraded my room through AMEX Platinum and I had huge corner room with a spectacular view of Beijing. The room layout itself was about perfect. When you enter, there's a walk-in closet area where you can not only store your shoes but also change in and store all your clothes. The bathroom flanks this room across a hallway and this bathroom is fit for royalty. It's huge. There's a in-mirror TV and a private alcove for the toilet. A massive slab of a sink offers space for all manner of hygienic products, and a separate bath and shower that make you feel as if you'd arrived in a spa every time you enter. In fact, the whole room felt that way. Like you were majestically transported in the evening to a new world and no matter how busy and tiring (and hot - it was quite hot in the summer), you were certain to feel relaxed on comfortable. Further into the room there was a writing desk, and then a couch and chair for a seating area, and then into an alcove, a perfectly comfortable bed. This was the first time I'd gone about 15 hours ahead in time and had zero jet lag. By the time the I hit the pillows around midnight, I slept soundly for 6 hours until I had to get ready for the work the next day. It was the same every night. The pool and exercise facilities were amazing. I basically swam laps in the pool. There was no one there. You could see through the glass ceiling skyward, and again, the whole experience put an emphasis on relaxation and comfort. The breakfast buffet was amazing. I love visiting Asia and eating at these buffets. You can have not only western style breakfast, but all manner of Asian breakfast. Enjoy dumplings. Congee. Fish fillet. Spicy curry. Fresh fruits. Puff pastries like croissants. Bold, dark coffee. Highly recommend you try breakfast at least once! One last note - the staff were amazing and helpful. Check in and check out were both efficient. Also, never once did I see the housekeeping staff. Not sure how they managed to clean a floor, and all the rooms on it, but I guess it's part of the magic. Highly recommend this property for a visit if you're in Beijing. I'll definitely be back for sure.

    • Fantastic hotel in every respect

This hotel is overwhelming. Located almost across the iconic cctv building with lots of restaurants, shops etc in the vicinity. The interior design is stunning with beautifully appointed public areas and rooms. You could spend days just walking around and enjoying every detail of this lovely hotel. It is absolutely stunning in every respect. Big rooms with incredible views, large bathrooms, all thinkable amenities and again furniture and decoration that keeps you amazed. The beds are super comfy. The spa area is a great example of generosity. The large pool is best enjoyed in the evening when there are candlelights everywhere. The roof can be opened during the day. They have a couple of restaurants. All with delicious food perfectly presented. Breakfast is a gourmet feast. Staff everywhere is friendly, attentive and very helpful. I could go on for ages praising this hotel. I cannot wait for my next check-in in a rosewood hotel.

    • My first stay at Rosewood and many more to come.

As my last stop of a short business trip, I fell in love with Rosewood Beijing the moment I arrived. I loved my room so much during my stay and had a very good rest to recover. You could feel the team goes way beyond their roles to make sure that you are well taken care of. First I tried Red Bowl, the devil hotpot place. Then I tried Countey Kitchen, the killer Peking duck place. And I took my time to try out the spa treatment and jacuzzi. The more facilities and services I tried, the more I craved to explore and discover at the property. Thank you Hubert from Guest Experience and Leo from Manor Club! You guys rock!
