Always have to return to one of our favourite beach clubs in the area. The service is always great, the food is equally as good, with good prices and generous portions. And of course, I have to mention the view. This visit no sargasso which was a bonus. Even with some, it is a beautiful place/location. Worth the extra distance to get to this place. Thanks Santos and Humberto.

the hotel is very lovely on a beautiful beach, nice restaurant on site. rooms are beautiful and comfortable, i only wish they had at least a mini fridge in each room, Tulum is beautiful and there are plenty of stores to buy a little something to drink/snack on at night or early morning or even during the day but with no fridge its pointless to buy anything like that! AC was not cold enough for my liking, we asked someone to take a look, which he did promptly but it was still not colder, we didn't bother asking again. one other complaint we had is that people from other hotels would come to the beach and take up chairs, hotel guests did not have reserved spots and if you didn't come out and put a towel on an empty seat in the early morning, you were out of luck. other than that a very quiet, peaceful and beautiful place, we would definitely be back again!

Tulum is such a beautiful place, we will take back fond memories despite our experience with Rosa Del Viento instead of because of them. The waiters attempted to scam us, we paid in USD and received half the amount of change we should have in Mexican pesos. I imagine they thought that we wouldnt question the short change when we paid in a different currency. When we politely questioned the mistake, the staff member became extremely hostile and rude and then proceeded to provide us with bare minimum service standard for the remainder of the trip. Our stay at Rosa del Viento was for 5 nights, of which we had hot water for showers for the first 2 of these. We reported the faulty hot water for the remainder of our stay and again on check out, hopefully now future guests can shower in both warm and cold water. We also had a faulty toilet in our room, after day 1 the porcelain throne refusing to flush. This was also reported and we were greatly relieved that this was speedily fixed. The fix however, resulted in a leaky toilet for the remainder of the stay, the bath mat being a make shift solution to a permanently wet floor. On check out, we were charged for drinks and food we did not have. This was queried and after some time resolved with the overpayment refunded. End of story....or so we thought. It transpired that the incorrect bill had been credited for the overpayment now resulting in an underpayment. We settled the balance only to discover that the final balance had also been incorrectly calculated and we had now overpaid. By this point we were just happy to get in a taxi and leave. Highly recommend visiting Tulum, would not recommend Rosa Del Viento.

We came to Tulum for the latter end of our Honeymoon after visiting Las Vegas and doing a US Roadtrip ... we came for peace and relaxation and thats exactly what we got Absolutely stunning hotel, set on the beach, with individual rooms, and a sea view. Interior was clean, well decorated and spacious Beach area, lovely ... the hotel works hard to keep it clean, its also a turtle breeding area and we had the absolute pleasure of watching one of these magnificent creatures lay her eggs and head off back to sea - they are then protected to ensure the eggs arent disturbed The staff are brilliant, special thanks to Humberto, Angel, Aaron and Poncho who made our stay perfect, and are so friendly and helpful, they work so hard and are always smiling! Food - no complaints here, try the Cameron Tostada, yum! And the Garlic Prawns are the die for !!! Breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from We will definitely return !! Thank you so much

    • Lovely and Quiet Hotel

Rosa del Viento is set at the end of the beach road on a quiet stretch of beach. The hotel itself is lovely, with palm trees surrounding the garden rooms. All of the rooms are just a few steps to the beach so we were fine with the garden view rooms. The rooms are simple but comfortable with a large bathroom. We really appreciated the air conditioning! Each veranda has a hammock for relaxing in the evening. The included breakfast was excellent, and it was wonderful starting each day in the restaurant with an ocean view. On our beach days we didnt want to leave the beach, so we often ordered lunch at the restaurant and loved the ceviche and shrimp! Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. We only speak/ understand minimal Spanish, but had no problems communicating with anyone at the hotel. Since the hotel is at the very end of the beach road, it is best to rent a bike to access the restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our meals on the Beach Road (at Cenzontle and La Eufemia), but found much of the area a little expensive and lacking in local food options. Since we had rented a car, most nights we drove into the town of Tulum and had excellent, authentic, and inexpensive dinners. Our favorites were Antojitos de Chiapaneca (al pastor tacos), Sabor de Mar (seafood), Sudeca (Argentinian empanadas), El Camello Jr (seafood), El Capitan (shrimp tacos), and Flor de Michoacn (fruit ice pops). I highly recommend renting a car and exploring the town, cenotes, and Coba ruins! During the week we were visiting, there was quite a bit of sargassum in the water. From what I understand, this is typical of the Tulum area in the summer. The staff at Rosa del Viento do an excellent job of clearing the sargassum off the beach area. On the days when there was too much sargassum in the water to swim, the staff directed us to a nearby cenote. Another good reason to have a car! Overall, we enjoyed our time at Rosa del Viento and highly recommend the hotel!
