Great visit to Munich

We stayed at the Charles Hotel for 2 nights so that we could visit Dachau. The hotel was great and my only complaint is that our visit was too short. We arrived by train from Berlin and were able to easily walk to the hotel once we got our north and south figured out. On arrival, we ate lunch in the courtyard with the sun on our faces; a delightful way to orient ourselves to Munich.

ReviewedCame for Oktoberfest with friends. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast and food was incredible. Will definitely return and recommend to all. The rooms could get a little bit colder - air conditioning only goes down to 70 and it felt at least 76. Too hot to sleep without the window open. But aside from the slight inconvenience was a beautiful stay. Perfect location just outside the bustling surroundings.

ReviewedI took my wife to Europe for her birthday cruise on the Danube. We started off with 2 days in Munich which were wonderfully spent at the Rocco Forte in Munich. Our first time staying with the brand and we were very impressed and would definitely stay again !! Lovely amenities were left in the room for my wife's birthday and they upgraded our room. Guest recognition was touch notch. I look forward to our next stay with RF !!

ReviewedMy husband and I had a couple of nights at The Charles this week and it was glorious. We have never stayed in a quieter, more peaceful hotel. The Charles was decorated beautifully for Oktoberfest, offering specialty foods with a modern flair, as well as an elegant pop-up Bavarian shop for lederhosen, dirndls, and accessories. The staff are attentive, charming and personable. I feel that truly transforms a hotel into a destination in itself. Don't hesitate to take advantage of their bar/lounge with fabulous cocktails and snacks. The food and atmosphere at Sophia's was excellent as well....hopefully the morning waitstaff will work out their kinks. We look forward to returning in November!

ReviewedLovely hotel with personalized service. Concierge staff went above and beyond to recommend and organize several side trips and reservations. Rooms are plush and extremely well appointed with several amenities. A gem of a hotel that is convenient to attractions but tucked away near the old botanical garden to still feel a bit secluded. Highly recommend.
