Knowing what to expect probably helps and so we found checking-in a simple process. Processing at the main entrance was fast and efficient not least as Alicia had warned them of our arrival. We then settled our outstanding balance with Riads and headed for our mini apartment in Port Venus. We prefer to have our room in a quiet location and it had all been recently refurbished. Not that we bothered, but we could have easily self-catered. Breakfast thankfully goes on until 12am so our late nights could have equally late starts. We also enjoyed sitting at one of the larger tables as it was a good way to compare notes with others, or just to meet other like-minded couples who enjoy the swinging lifestyle. And if you feel the need to go further, then the evening parties and music were serious fun! Sure, you can stay in cheaper places or self cater, but Riads is really worth a try.

We had read the reviews so we went to Riads with an open mind. We basically agree with the reviews of 30candc & connieewells so we won't repeat but we will add to these and give some advise. We were shown to our room directly off reception / breakfast area and although it was a really nice room & bathroom there was no kitchenette. The noise from reception and breakfast plus evening parties would have been too much for us so we were offered an apartment in Port Venus. It was small with no balcony but it was recently decorated with a brand new bed. All apartments in the village are tiny so this didn't surprise us. We lived out of the suit cases for a week as there was no room to unpack ! The apartment also had use of a private pool but there were no sun-loungers. The 5min walk to breakfast didn't bother us. What we did later discover is that if you request to stay in Raid No 6 or 7 you will have a very different experience. We were nosy when someone was leaving ! These have 5 bedrooms each with communal kitchen / lounge / balcony / plunge pool. All decorated in a Bedouin style. Very nice indeed. As long as you don't mind sharing the communal areas this was really great. It's a nice way to meet people who are in the same lifestyle. Or if you are travelling with another couple this would be ideal, Would we stay again ? maybe but we have found it is far more cost effective to book private.

We stayed for 7 nights and got a pretty good deal. There was some confusion over the location of our mini suite which was away from the main hotel. Although that meant a short walk for breakfast, it suited us. The room had a good view over the swimming pool and hills beyond (the option would have been over the marina - good for morning sun but we preferred see the sunsets). The pool itself was unheated not that it mattered too much, but it was annoying to have to take sun beds from the room to poolside. Breakfasts were typically continental - basic but fresh. It was great that they served them to virtually midday! We were not on the half board option and thankfully so - we wanted to explore and follow recommendations from friends rather than be limited in where to go. We used the jacuzzi 2 or 3 times; fresh towels were to hand and the place was clean. Every evening there were free drinks for a couple of hours and a chance to meet other guests - most memorable were a lovely couple from Brazil and another wonderful French couple. Talking of French, being able to speak the language - as ever - helps enormously be that in Riads or across the resort as a whole. And it certainly applied to our new French friends with our wives ending up doing most things in French. Overall, and for what we paid, it was good value.

Not our first time in Cap. We have been before to Jardin dEden and Babylonia and high prices and quality of accommodation in the Naturist Village were not a surprise for us. But this is out of any acceptable range. R5 is presented in their webpage as a 5 star luxury accommodation and we paid 950 euros for two nights in what it is shown in the web as luxury suite (their most expensive type of room!). Everything is a enormous swindle, you will not get anything similar to what you see in the Web. On the contrary, this is one of the worst places we have ever been. All included: Breakfast is bread, butter, croissant, juice (not fresh) and coffee. No more (do not forget they sell you a five star raid and you are paying 475 euros per night). One only table is arranged for six people. If the table is busy they send you to a smelly patisserie in Port Ambonne where you get an even worse breakfast in a sticky tray. For lunch or dinner (you choose one of them) you are given a 30 euros voucher per couple and day to spend in some of the restaurants of the village. Take into account that two entrecots with fries, two glasses of wine and two coffees will cost you around 60 euros per couple everywhere so that with 30 euros you pay half of a very basic lunch for two. Love boat tour: Sorry the boat is full for today. Tomorrow there is no tour. Swimming pool: Not in the Riad. In their webpage you may see the picture of the Waiki Beach (15 minute walk) where you are allowed to enter for being a guest. There is a jacuzzi in the Riad and in their pictures seems to be giant. Of course it is not. We did not see anyone using it. Luxury Suite: around 10 m2 (100 ft2) in one single space including toilet and shower (not even door for the toilet!). No air conditioning, no daily cleaning, no wardrobe to hung clothes, no bedside tables, broken furniture, horrible linen, towels and amenities, no maintenance... See pictures if you can not believe it. Atmosphere is far from being cozy. Aperol and parties announced had few attendance and no interest for us comparing with the rest of activities in the village (of course, this is a matter of opinion). Please, do not miss the pictures to get the real idea of this terrible place. Do not waste your money.
