    • A Little Piece Of Heaven In Siena

      Reviewed 01 October 2019

We loved this beautiful former Borghesi property. Each room decorated in period style with modern comforts like air conditioning and bathrooms. The breakfasts served complimentary just outside the front door in a charming cafe include the most options I have ever seen of pastries and sandwiches, This is a sanctuary in the area near the Duomo and Piazza Del Campo! The warm welcome reception was a prime indication we would be super comfortable here and it was 100% accurate.

    • Boutique at it's very best!

We spent 3 days in this beautiful boutique hotel and loved it! The building is beautiful with lots of history, and our room (Viridi Gallia) was spacious and with a lovely view! We especially loved the balcony, the view was stunning and having breakfast out there every morning was priceless. Breakfast was really delicious as well and service excellent by Noemi, Cristina and Paolo - they are just the best hosts! Location of the Palazzo Borghesi is perfect, in the middle of town right between the duomo and the Piazza del Camp. Parking can be an issue and we can highly recommend the parking valet service company, recommended by the hotel. This hotel is a real gem and we'd love to return!

Centrally located in Siena. Beautiful accommodations and our room worked well for three women traveling together. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations for touring and dinner reservations. Highly recommend!!

    • Very Stressful Stay

      Reviewed 23 September 2019

First of all, the hotel is beautiful and so was our room, the blue room. Very nicely decorated, large and comfortable. There is a great terrace overlooking the city. Unfortunately, Paola made our stay very uncomfortable and stressful. The first day we were gone all day and came back to find our room wasn't made up. We didn't really care and just thought maid service wasn't included. I asked for more Nespresso pods and he questioned why I needed more before reluctantly giving me some. I also asked for a blanket and he suggested I turn the A/C up before giving me one. The next day the maid did knock, but we declined service because we were going out for late night and didn't want to leave the room. No problem. The third day, again we didn't want the room cleaned, only asked for toilet paper. Paola actually asked why we needed more toilet paper and got argumentative about cleaning the room. My wife was near tears so we went out in a light rain so the maid could clean. There is a coffee maker in the common area. Since the staff didn't make any, I made a pot myself. Paola came and grabbed it from me to finish it. Breakfast was in the cafe downstairs with vouchers. He didn't want to give us more than two a day so we had to ask every day. Finally he relented and gave us enough for the last two mornings. It got so we didn't want to leave the room and couldn't wait to get out. I'm sure some of this can be attributed to the language barrier, but most of it was just rudeness. I actually think he thought we were stealing things from the room. We had to hand deliver the guest book to the desk when we checked out. I'm sure he will respond to this review and blame it all on us. But, you can check my other reviews and see I have never had a problem like this.

    • Grand Hotel

      Reviewed 19 September 2019

It is a hotel in the heart of Sienna close to all major attractions that is like all of Sienna very old, but it has been completely renovated into a stunningly elegant residence of a few rooms. Our room was gorgeous. I cant say enough about the appointments in the bedroom and the bathroom. It is a work of art. There is a common terrace that offer an incredible view of the city. Breakfast is provided via a voucher at a bistro next door. This consists of pastries, juice, coffee and sandwich. The residence is on the third floor; however there is an elevator. Noemi, was invaluable in making reservations for dinner. The only negative item was that the Wifi didnt work to connect to the internet. Our section of the citys Contralto had its yearly party for 3 of the 4 nights we were there, so there was some noise. That really did not detract from our experience.
