First, the apartment is very nice. With the exception of the dishwasher, that smelled like something had died in in. Now for the bad: the construction all over, so the whole apartment smelled like dust. Also in the outskirts of Zermatt, which could theoretically have been nice but proved to be a bit ugly and industrial. The pool is close enough to encourage you to stay here but far enough that we didn't use it. We really wished we had stayed a bit closer to the very pretty center.

We booked a three bedroom room and were surprised at how big it was! It could easily sleep 6-8 people. The interior was modern and the kitchen was well supplied. The view of the Matterhorn was amazing. However, since the Residence Patricia does not have a reception, if you want to ask anything or store your bags you need to go the the Alpen Resort. There was no transport offered between the two. The location of the Residence Patricia is not very convenient, and is far from the center of Zermatt. It is also in the industrial area.

I selected this apartment hotel which firstly is in the most interior part of Zermatt with a very cheap looking rooms. I selected this apartment over the other apartments which were in the same price category. This apartment is a part of Alpen Resort Hotel though they both are distant apart from each other. There is no reception at the apartment so for check-in you need to go to their hotel first and then to the apartment with your rooms keys and loads of your baggage. They dont even have a complimentary pick up and drop service which even an average hotel in Zermatt would provide. I had a total nightmare when my room key did not work due to their faulty lock system. And to make it worst, the hotel does not even care to help you. Instead they get rude with you and ask you to walk all the way from the apartment to their reception at the hotel to get your keys checked. I would again repeat that their reception is too far from the apartment with all the sloppy roads. They do not have the courtesy to send someone with the new key, but instead want you take all the headaches. I had to go all the way back to their reception to get it checked. And above it the manager of the hotel was totally unapologetic about it. They seem to treat the guests as if they are staying here for free. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and never ever faced any such behaviour from the hotel staff especially the manager himself. It seems that they dont like the Asians (Indians and Chinese). I would totally reject this hotel and would request all to avoid using this hotel.

Great location, short walk from train station. Decent rooms, good value for money. However in the morning when we were checking out, lady seating at the desk was rude to an extent where she didnt even bother to look while talking and kept doing her stuff. Not a great way to start your day - they can surely benefit from some guest service training. Purely for this reason may look for some other place next time. Will say its not ASIAN friendly place.

The hotel is convienently located near to train station by 7 mins walk. Hotel has a small kitchen and supermarket is also nearby if you want to prepare your own breakfast and dinner. Free usage of indoor pool, Sauna and steam bath. Value for money.
