The welcome was very nic at this hotel, quick and hassle free, just a credit card swipe for any extra items. There is a small area serving cold drinks, crisps and snacks you collect them take them to the reception and it charged to you card. There are three fairly fast lifts in this hotel they were operating perfectly during our visit. We were situated on the 17th Floor not to far from the lift. The room had a kitchen, lounge/bed area, a wash basin and closet are, plus a bathroom toilet and shower is in the bath. We found the room clean and tidy. The kitchen has a toaster, coffee machine, fridge freezer and a dishwasher, plus a small number of knives, forks, glasses, cup etc. The bathroom has two small bars of soap and shampoo plus body lotion. The room is cleaned and the beds are made everyday. The only downside to this side of the hotel is you over look a power plant. The breakfast is a hot buffet with scrambled eggs with lots of other things including fruit, coffee and teas. If you run out of anything just ask and they fill it up again. The bar is only open in the evening on the night we went to the bar, we met a barman by the name of Randolph he is a very knowledgeable person when it come to drinks and if he has time some of his close up magic tricks are impressive. Unfortunately the hotel does not serve lunch or dinner but there are unite a number of restaurants in the district. Everywhere is no smoking inside the hotel. However one little thing was the height of the best which was a Queen size, my wife and I couldnt put our feet on the floor whilst sat on the bed. It actually became a standing joke with us and you need a head for heights lol . But on the whole I was impressed with the hotel. There is Valet parking but not sure of the cost etc. The room has an ironing board and iron in the closet plus a safe. Make sure you can remember the sequence of your number as I believe it will not be abled to open it in the hotel.

We were recommended this hotel by our family friends for a 2 night stay in Toronto. We had a 1 bedroom apartment for me, my wife and our 2 daughters. The room was comfortable with a mini kitchen and a sofa bed. we requested for a roll away bed as well and they were kind enough to provide it free. Good staff at the reception. Location was excellent with all restaurants close by.

    • Old hotel with mostly great staff

This is not the first residence inn Ive stayed in but it was most certainly the most inconsistent. It was like a tale of two hotels. On one hand, there were many difficulties with our bookings, given that many in my party were titanium bonvoy members, you would think that the staff would be more than accommodating. Some staff didnt know how to deal with our upgrades or use of points/coupons. Others were very accommodating. I would mention charles as one who did well. The rooms were okay except for the toilet started leaking, the door to the hallway wouldnt shut unless slammed, and the closet door was off a crooked track. The maintenance people were inconsistent. Mirzin (Im probably butchering the spelling) was by far the friendliest and quickest to respond. The others not so much and sometimes made the problem worse. Breakfast was chaotic. The lines were extremely long and the staff was overwhelmed with keeping up, being able to sit people in a timely fashion or keep the food stocked. One bright spot was Randolph the bartender. He gave excellent dinner recommendations and even helped set up the breakfast area when we ordered pizza in. He brought us water pitchers, plates, and wrapped our leftovers for us to take upstairs. Overall the staff was pretty good, save for some front desk and maintenance staff who couldnt handle our party

Had the 2 bedroom suite. Typical Residence decor...won't offend anyone, but you wont remember it either. Comfortable, plenty of room in this suite. Were on the 12 fl floor. 0nly kids room had a view of street of buildings. Larger king room had view(no view) of back of building(same with living area). Try to get 16 th floor and up i think. One disappointment..the breakfast buffet. Nice selection of items, but they cooked the heck out of the pancakes/meat items. Dry as chips! Thought it was just the 1 day. Nope, all 3 days we were there! Rest of food items were fine. And when they say 9:30am is cut-off, they mean 9:30! May even had started earlier than that. Walking distance to many restaurants, CN Tower/Aquarium. Valet parking only. Very hip/trendy/diverse neighborhood!

    • Fantastic Experience and Staff!!

Fantastic experience. We travel a lot and review a lot, and this is a fantastic hotel. Close to the CN Tower (we could see from our room's window). House keeping kept coming and doing our dishes for us even though we definitely didn't ask for this - so great service. Great breakfast (note: they tell you not to go at the last minute - many people do and then are annoyed that the other hundred+ people staying are doing the same thing). Upon check-out, we asked for some extra time. They offered us way longer than we ever expected. We will definitely stay again.
