      We stayed one night and it was good value at $101. We had a king suite which was spacious. The tile tub needs non slip pads replaced - once you soap up its super slippery. They had empanadas and beer for happy hour which was great. The grounds are decent with plenty of parking, though it is on the outskirts and you can walk to chain restaurants. There was a dude playing basketball outside our room until 10:00 PM and we wanted to get an early sleep. Front desk didnt care when I complained. Probably would not stay here again - too many other options.

      LOVE the convenience and benefit of being able to cook instead of eating out. Mattresses are new and very clean (big deal for me). Rooms have had minor maintenance issues like tp holder loose or cracked lens on a wall sconce. Hallways on upper floors have been uncomfortably warm on occasion. Hot tub and pool are nice and perfect after a trip to the fitness center. Breakfast is standard fair but what sets this place apart is the evening social! Most nights offer full dinner with free beverages (water, soda, beer, wine) and a very attentive host. Nice to come home to after a long work day.

      Stayed here on a road trip through Indiana and found the hotel to be very good. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was good with plenty of selections. All in all a very good hotel in Champaign.

      Wow, where to start with this disaster. Surprising to read all the positive reviews, but perhaps the expectations were lower by most reviewers, many new to Marriott. So this was a truly sad hotel in so many ways. The rooms were big which are nice, but so much is a disaster: 1) Lack of cleanliness and upkeep in common areas. a. The crushed animal cracker in the hallway that was there for at least a day b. The band-aid by the pool side that was there for two days c. Pool area beyond slippery with pools of water for two days and never cleaned d. The hall rugs and floors were dirty overall e. Splatter on elevator walls that in two days never saw cleaning f. Roach in first floor hallway g. Broken basketball rim h. Pool was dirty and we all got sick after checkout from total lack of cleanliness 2) Lack of cleanliness and upkeep in rooms a. Worn rugs in room with carpet on edges frayed b. Water stained ceiling in living area c. Water ceiling damage in kitchen area and the cabinets rub against ceiling and dust falls down. d. Stains on sofa. e. Dirt when moving sofa bed out. 3) Just awful management a. Front desk staff invited families that were not guests that they knew into the pool, 3 families with young kids came directly from their cars in the lot and they allowed them into the pool and they in turn propped open the outside door to get others into pool with a chair (fire hazard?). b. At 4 pm on a weekday afternoon there were only two staff on site according to front desk manager (Taylor i think was his name?). So when there are only two pool towels at 4 pm and when we ask for more for our family and they cant be replenished (even with room towels) because the maintenance guy is at lunch break. Okay, MAYBE Ill assume thats okay, but then we see the front desk manager go outside after talking with us and smoke a cigarette with another group of his friends/local townies (different from the friends of the other staff above) drinking beers outside, maybe you should help customers first c. Basketball playing until 11:15 pm. Where is management when it is supposed to close at 9 4) No environmental controls in the pool area. Ive been in warm and humid pool areas plenty of times, but with it being 92 outside, then had no environmental controls and it was well over 100 inside with no circulation and high humidity. And the desk said this it is what it is always like with a Ive heard this a thousand times already attitude. With that said, staying at a bad Marriott is still better than staying at a bad hotel in another chain. I mean the young man that helped with the breakfast was wonderful and kind and did his best to make our time at breakfast enjoyable. And overall the place at least had a veneer of not being a dive which is something I guess. Management needs to change big time at this facility to address the multitude of problems. Hope you are paying attention to these reviews Marriott corp! I am a Bonvoy member (no need to share what level to impress people) and this place almost pushed me to another chains reward program!

      I booked this hotel through a third party and got a good price. I had no idea what to expect regarding the actual property. It turned out to be GREAT. My room was huge- and had a kitchen and nice work area plus a large bed and bathroom. The breakfast was included and was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had in the U.S. Each day they had a rotating house special including breakfast tacos, different kinds of sausage, and sliced cold cuts and cheese...even Brie, and fruit. The hotel wasn't convenient for walking to down town, but Uber was super easy to use and about $8 per trip. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.
