    • Best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in

      Reviewed 20 July 2019

I stayed in the wonderful bed and breakfast for a few days while I was in Montreal for a conference. The quaint home was welcoming and the house had so much charm to it. Should I come back to Montreal I will most certainly be staying there again. Be sure to get the breakfast because not only is it a good deal but it was by far the best food I had while I was there.

    • Wonderful Gem in Old Longueuil

      Reviewed 08 June 2017

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for one night only. The host was extremely warm, check-in was a breeze, and the room was very nice, European and unique. The sheets seemed to be amazing high quality Egyptian cotton, and every little detail was thought of in the room. This Refuge is walking distance from the Longueuil cafes and bistros, and nightlife was vibrant despite being a week night. I would not hesitate to recommend this place at all.

This is a very old house in the old part of town. You should expect small rooms, low ceilings and uneven floors consistent with a mid-18th century home. It all adds to the quaintness of the property. All rooms are on the second floor accessed by a very steep and narrow staircase that is only for the fit. Guests share a newly renovated bathroom that is kept quite clean. Everything is small, so expect twin beds and little floor space in the rooms. The 2 of us are well over 6 feet tall, so we felt a little cramped. Common areas are eclectic (a terrarium with turtles graces the entryway). The owner has a small, friendly dog and allows guests to bring their dogs as well (doggy treats in the room alongside the coffee and tea). Altogether an eclectic experience that was good value for money.

    • Dark and cluttered but clean

      Reviewed 30 November 2016

The room was tiny and cluttered, and the floor was very slanted. The room was very clean. I was not happy having to share a bathroom with strangers. The owner was on vacation so the person who checked us in didn't speak English and forgot to tell us not to drink the water until the 2nd day. She also wasn't able to communicate well when we asked for simple things like to turn the heat down. There was no breakfast because the owner was not there.

    • Cozy and clean Bed and Breakfast!!!

      Reviewed 12 May 2016

The third time I visit Canada. This time we chose a very well located, clean and cozy Bed and Breakfast in Longueuil. We loved it. So quiet place just a few meters from restaurants, cafe and supermarket. We recommend.
