Wanted somewhere local for our last night in Budapest. Good menu choice plus specials on the board. We had a steak which was very tasty, grilled chicken with potatoes and salad, strips of duck breast with salad (this was shown as an appetizer but was plenty as a main. There was grilled cheese and salad for our vegetarian friend. With 1 bottle of house red wine, 1 beer and a large water the bill came to 22506HUF (72.60). Very good value and just off from St. Stephen's basillica

Had a delightful lunch here after visiting St. Stephens Basilica. A lengthy menu with classic Hungarian dishes, and matching wines. This is a very good restaurant and a tourist joint.

An unplanned visit. The place looks like any continental bistro. Food is good, service is good, prices are ok. Only drawback is that when they bring you the bill, they insist on cash. I guess they dont want to put you off before you order, but in this day and age its a bit surprising to find a place that doesnt accept popular cards. I should mention that they do accept American Express, which is even more odd given that most places now accept any card except American Express! Hard to recommend.

The restaurant offers great Hungarian meals, desserts, and decades old ambiance. We stuck with our Hungarian favourites. All were yummy. Service was friendly.

We are first time visitors to Budapest, and a friend who lives in Budapest met us for lunch. He took us to this little place a short tram ride from our hotel, and we enjoyed our lunch spot a lot! We had the cold fruit soup; the eggplant cream with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and banana peppers; the garlicky dressing salad, and the sliced duck meat over arugula salad. All were delicious and hit the spot on a very hot afternoon. Service was nice and efficient. They only take Euros and American Express, so BEWARE! We only had a Visa, so our friend paid, and we paid him back when we returned to the hotel.
