Lovely relaxed weekend away with the family. Lots of activities for all. Good food & wonderfully comfortable beds. Longer hikes could be better sign posted as we got lost several times. Friendly efficient staff.

This property is ideal for hosting upmarket conferences/launches or cosy enough for the smaller conference to feel at home. Fitted with all the mod cons and amenities. The vast expanse of the property and the amazing amenities allows for a weeklong conference to enjoy lunch and tea breaks at a different venue each day. The flexibility allows for a multitude of themes and configurations including being able to drive a car into the conference centre for a car launch. The area where the SPA is situated, away from the rooms and close to the childrens playgrounds lends itself to a variety of Open-Air Music Festivals or Band Stand. Bedrooms are very comfortable and tastefully furnished with beautiful views of the mountains. All with modern amenities and within comfortable walking distance of the main facilities. Dining at this property is an absolute pleasure and whilst catering for all tastes, the food is so delicious one does need to have self-control. The Dining room is very tastefully decorated and mostly caters buffet. Relaxing in one of the perfectly appointed lounge areas is an absolute pleasure. One area is for the family with children, with small tables and chairs for the little peoples comfort and where they and their parents can relax and the other is more formal and decorated very tastefully and suitably. Mom and Dad have the option of leaving the little darlings with well trained staff at the childrens play centre whilst they go to the SPA or take part in other activities. Meanwhile the children will do face painting or some fun activity. This is free to parents staying in-house. Children will also benefit from the Kids Club which gives them all sorts of freebies. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to Conference decision makers, Leisure Groups, Family functions or just couples who want a get-away. This is a forgotten GEM in the Southern Drakensberg.

My husband and I took a weekend break from our busy lives to celebrate our birthdays. We were looking for a relaxing getaway for two and Premier Resort Sani Pass did not disappoint. From arrival to departure we were taken care of by all the staff at the property. What a great atmosphere this property has. We will certainly be back again soon.

We had a few days at Sani Pass Hotel in July. We chose to stay mid-week, so the resort was nice and quiet. We had fabulous weather to boot! From arrival at the hotel gates, we were warmly and pleasantly greeted through to check-in, the staff knew my name and went out of their way to welcome us. Our room was pleasant, a decent size with a very comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom had a separate bath, which again, was a decent size and a shower. Our room had a balcony and was over-looking the golf course with views towards the mountains, where the resident baboons were sitting in the late afternoon/evening. On the second day of our stay, we saw a bushbuck from our balcony in the evening. This was lovely to see! We were fortunate enough to have complimentary hotel accommodation with bed and breakfast for 2 nights. On the first night, we had a lovely meal. My wife had fishcakes to start followed by steak and I had the chicken livers followed by the lamb curry. We were very pleasantly surprised by the very healthy sized portions. In fact, my wife asked the chef when he came to check that everything was to our liking, "if the starter was in fact the main course" because of the very healthy serving! We had a great meal and some lovely wine too. Our waiter, Innocent, if memory serves me correctly, was very professional and a true credit to the hotel. Breakfast was very pleasant and while we didn't opt for the cooked breakfast (and there were many options to choose from), we still found the breakfast to be ample, with plenty of fresh ingredients and lots of coffee to propel us along for our morning walks. We did some lovely walking locally while staying at the hotel. One the first evening at dusk we walked to the waterfall, this is a very level/flat walk and very easy. The following day we tried to do a walk outside of the hotel grounds, following the typed instructions we received from reception, however, we found that without a map, and with the sometimes vague instructions, we decided to return to the walks on the property, so that we wouldn't get lost. We did a lovely walk past the trout dam and up the mountain where we saw a small herd of elland, mountain reedbuck and of course, more baboons. We returned to the hotel with a healthy appetite and my wife had fish and chips for lunch while I had the chicken burger. Both of these dishes were very pleasant. We had a good dinner on our second night, with us selecting the sharing meze and more of the same (as in we just switched what we ordered previously). My wife had a chocolate liquer for dessert and she seemed very pleased with this. We had a fabulous stay and would like to thank Sefton and the team for a wonderful time. We will be back!
