    • A much needed family holiday

      We were booked for a week's holiday all inclusive at this very impressive hotel. When we arrived and checked in we found the hotel to be very clean in all areas. This includes the rooms, public areas, bars and pool. Food choice was amazing and it all seemed fresh and hot. Only downside was the entertainment which seemed below the standard for a hotel of this quality. Our rooms had amazing views of the sea and mountains in the background. The entertainments team were amazing and kept us busy with games and competitions. We would definitely like to stay here again if we return as we were made to feel so welcome by the friendly staff.

      We stayed here for 5 days for a short break. The hotel is fabulous, its clean, the pool area is fantastic and the food is just incredible. The only downside is the lifts, they appear to have a mind of their own and sometimes just refuse to come. Other than the lifts and the glass walls for the bathroom. (Which is a bit strange) this place is worth every penny. Would def come again.

      I work in hotel industry so understand the pressures hotels face at busy times and port Benidorm is a very modern clean hotel it is near to the beach and other bars ect but major issues are: Lifts... This hotel has got to have one of the most bizarre lift systems I have ever encountered you scan your card next to lift and pick your floor number from the screen... Then wait.. Wait a bit more.. Then wait even more, then depending on time of day you might just get a lift.. Its crazy.. Screen will tell you 'lift B' so out of 4 lifts you have to wait for lift B.. And you stand there and watch your lift visit every floor before it finally arrives at the ground floor.. You cannot just jump into any lift either as there are no buttons in lift We were lucky we were on 3rd floor so easy enough to take stairs up and down but felt sorry for anyone on 19th floor Other niggles with hotel.. The bathroom: I know it's a big thing in the industry at the moment for glass doors on bathrooms and toilets but this hotel goes one step further with the entire bathroom being glass walls.. It's turns going to the loo into a spectator event.. Not the sort of place to visit if your on first trip away with a new partner.. No one wants to see someone's dump face early in a relationship or watch them wipe their backside... Not the romantic first weekend away you would want Staff: cleaning staff very cheerful.. Barstaff need to take lessons off the cleaners.. Restaurant staff more friendly apart from guy on welcome on entrance to restaurant he could deffinatly do with few days with housekeeping Food: Amazing.. Lots of choice and good quality.. Even food at pool area was always fresh and tasty Really did like this hotel but let down on lift issue if you do book ask for low floor otherwise you will be spending lots of your holiday waiting for the lift

      During Aug 2019 my family and I visited the Port Benidorm hotel with high hopes of a pleasurable and enjoyable holiday, this was not the case. On arrival the staff of the hotel seemed miserable and lacked basic common curtesy and didnt seem to want to help me with my check in to the hotel. After sorting the rooms upon arrival we faced another factor of this holiday from hell, the notorious ELEVATORS, knowing that this was one of the most complained about features of the hotel we didnt have high hopes, but the reviews dont do justice to the amount of time and frustration that it takes to wait for one. As it is a automated system and only when having a card you may call for one leads to the system getting confused and caused huge amounts of build ups through the floors (especially during 8:30-10:30 and 7:30-8:30) Through my experience on staying here the average time you will be wait on a good day is around 4-5mins but some days we were having to wait 10-15 mins in order just to get to breakfast. One of the positive things I would take from being here is the things in place for the kids as well as how theyre with them, while round the pool they conduct multiple activities for the kids as well as adults which were most enjoyable, as well as being so friendly with them outside of the activities. It wasnt just the hotel staff though that made this holiday most displeasing it was also the TUI Rep Dan was not helpful at all, when leaving on the 20th of Aug we couldnt have a room to keep until a couple hours before we are picked up so we have peace of mind this was due to the rooms needed cleaning before the arrivals come. Which would have been have been fine if we only had the one room but we had a total of THREE rooms during are stay, so having one surely wouldnt have effected there schedule as when we arrived only two of the three rooms were available. So as anyone else would we went to see are Rep in the hopes that we could resolve our situation and be able to have a shower but he came back with the simple reply of why didnt you come to me sooner funnily enough when arriving at the Port Benidorm having my leaving plan ready wasnt a priority as I wished to have a clear mind and enjoy my week away from work and responsibilities. In conclusion if you are looking to stay at a hotel for unsatisfactory customer service, average food and 10 min wait times for elevators this is the hotel for you. If like me for 4500 you wish to have your moneys worth, as well as fantastic customer service I would look at other hotels or look at going some where completely different. Thank you Dan the man from TUI and Port Benidorm I shall not be returning.

    • Unfriendly and unhelpful reception

      In general it was a lovely hotel but the reception desk was unhelpful and unfriendly the pool and room was lovely but the reception ruined my experience at the port Benidorm. The lift system is also ridiculous we stood 15 minutes waiting for a lift and it still didnt arrive and I definitely wouldnt come back
