Two nights of relaxation. The hotel has so much charm and the staff top off the experience. Breakfast was one of the best with local and fresh ingredients. The feed me menu for dinner topped off the experience in the Argus dining room. This was our third visit to this hotel and we will definitely return. Great experience.

The hotel is lovely. The hotel room was exactly the same as photos on the website with the bed comfortable and all the amenities in the room you need. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast which was exceptional and the staff went well and beyond to ensure our meal was great.

We have just had 4 nights in an amazing spa villa! The room was just perfect, exactly the same as photos on the websites. Bed was very comfortable and the gas fire was a real treat, we had villa 229. The breakfast was outstanding every morning, with amazing continental and cooked options. We had the feed me dinner one evening in the Argus, the food was some of the best we have ever experienced, hats off the the amazing chefs! Pre dinner drinks in the bar were very relaxing. We will be returning !

We booked a deluxe spa room, and when we checked in were advised that our room would not be in the main building, however adjoined to one of the spa villas. This would have been good to know upon booking, as the main building is beautiful - the villas not so much. The room was tired, very tired. The blinds were tattered and broken, the carpet was filthy and the cleanliness was average - there was hair from the previous guests on the bed! It gets very cold at night in winter in Hepburn Springs, and the heater seemed to need a service as it was struggling. It also needed to be cleaned, as you could see the dust built up on the vents. The gardens are pretty, however at night the poor lighting was quite dangerous, especially as this is the only route to get to the main building for dinner etc. One highlight was that breakfast was delicious. Certainly not value for money, nor was the standard four star.

so the good elements of our weekend stay; the lounge area is cosy, open fire place etc on a cold weekend, very pleasant, and the spa package was great. But our $350 a night room was a downgrade on Holiday Inn, and that's being unkind to Holiday Inn - cramped, no sense of luxury. And the restaurant needs to get with the 21st century - my partner is vegan, and there were literally no options on the breakfast or lunch menu that she didn't have to ask for and negotiate
