    • Sweeping views from spacious sparkling apartment

      Reviewed 5 days ago

Adjacent to the heritage hotel are ultra modern serviced luxury apartments. Our 2br was massive with panoramic views of hills and sky. Very comfortable! Only room for improvement is for housekeeping to ensure the rooms are 100% set up and stocked properly, as poor reception staff had to do several trips over from next door to fix beds, supplies, mini bar etc, and it took a couple of hours all up. Room service is limited despite advertising 24 hr in room dining. Overall,,more of an apartment than a hotel experience, but really a lovely luxurious experience !

    • Staff outstanding. Value for money but old.

Jack Dean is one of the best Customer Service managers in the industry. I stayed during a storm and the hotel had rain damage. That is no-one's fault at the hotel. We were moved without fuss and with courtesy abounding. Jack and his team on afternoon shift did a fabulous job of making what could have been a major drama just a small blip and made the stay even better. Well done team. See you next time.

    • convenient and quiet location, renovated older facility, a bit dated, did not fare well in hail storm.

Easy walk to downtown area. Close to National Gallery of Australia, National Portrait Gallery, War Memorial, Airport with a Movie Theater just around the corner. The front desk staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The in-house breakfast and dining facilities were convenient and helpful.

    • A good overnight stay

My wife and I stayed here for a night on a short tour. The staff were good to deal with, and the room was well appointed. The hotel is a short walk to the lake shoreline and relatively close to Civic, although its still a short drive or taxi trip unless you're a keen walker. There is a good in-house restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Parking is tricky. The streets around the hotel are metered, and the offsite parking is at neighboring property about three hundred metres and a couple of blocks away. We would stay here again.
