Rooms are very small, just big enough for beds and a bag. Good sento, clean and hot. Mattresses very old, they need replacing, it was not comfortable to sleep there. Booking sites show dining area for the guests, this was closed. It is basic, and OK, but don't expect much.

    • Unbeatable location. Great stay with friendly hosts.

Stayed eight nights (room with two single beds, tv and kettle). Shared bathroom/toilet nearby as were the shared fridge/freezer and microwave. Located on the bottom level - shower/onsen, laundry facilities and drying room/ski storage room. This place had everything without the gloss. Ive been to Furano on two previous occasions and stayed at the premium end with family. This time however I had 1 week to get arrangements in place after agreeing with friends to join them for a week in Furano. I must admit I did have doubts however they were cast aside as soon as I arrived at Pension Young House. I have nothing but praise for what they do well, which is providing simple accommodation at a great location. A short walk to the 24 hr 7ELEVEN, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, local bus stops nearby and the Kitanomine chair lift a short ski/walk away make this an enviable location. Its your choice. Im glad I made it mine for this trip.

Stayed in Pension Young House 2 nights February 2017. The pension is basic a little dull but on the up side it has a great location. Owner/manager is helpful to a point but not so warm and friendly. There is no lounge or common area to socialise in so you typically end up in your room. The bath area is in the basement and is a Japanese style sit at showers and large bath. Okay for short term stay but long term might be boring.

    • Amazingly convenient

      Reviewed 21 February 2017

Not the most up-market place but it is simple, warm and clean. Best of all this place is literally across the street from the Kitonamine gondola and chairlift which has to make it by far one of the best-value places to stay at any ski resort I've ever been to. Usually this kind of convenience comes at a much bigger cost! There is a ski room (pretty basic but it exists) for keeping gear in, and the onsen/shower room is 'public' so be ready for that. But overall we loved our stay here, can highly recommend it.

Basic accommodation in top location has communal fridge, dirty old microwave and no toaster- not bad - mattress hard - pillows crap - good ski room and ok bathroom- I would really like a decent bed but that won't bother some
