We stayed at the Parador in Antequera with Great Rail Journeys. Excellent place to stay, perfectly situated to explore the town, and for trips to Seville, Cordoba, and Granada etc. Plenty to see in Antequera itself, a beautiful place and not crowded. The Parador is modern and comfortable with good facilities and great views, and only two storeys high. The staff were very pleasant but we would particularly like to praise JAVI in the bar on the terrace for his excellent service, very good English, and the best Sangria I've ever tasted! Also ENCARNI on reception, for whom nothing was too much trouble and for her very good English too.

Very modern building with minimalist but excellent facilities: excellent view from the dining room, large swimming pool & attractive outdoor seating outside the bar/ bistro. Have been here previously with my extended family & a well behaved toddler.bedrooms are large & bathrooms spacious & modern. The Parador has its own parking area which leads out on to the bus station & is relatively easy to explore Antequera on foot. (30 churches & convents!) Arrived after a late & delayed flight so missed breakfast. There is no tea tray to make a coffee/tea & they do not provide a bottle of mineral water on the bedside table which is common in hotels now. Yes I accept that there are bottles in the mini fridge as an extra but I think that a small bottle of mi real water would not break heavily into their income! Ideally have a travelling kettle & some fruity tea bags! Older clients wake up at night or cant sleep well so read & have a drink of water....

We love this parador. The staff is frendly, the junior suite is amazing and the pool and outdoor bar are beautiful. For work or pleasure it is a lovely place to be. We have had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent.

This was our third stay here. We love this place. We get an end suite with a large terrace @ the back of the hotel. Very private. The pool is wonderful and refreshing. Nice to be near the bar and cafe for a drink and food and then a swim. So user friendly and convenient. Short walk to town and sites of history. Staff is terrific. My husband speaks fluent Spanish which makes it easy but the staff speak good English. It is on our must stay list for our yearly trips to Spain.
