    • Cozy Place

I booked a solo room (called Pulag Room) and stayed here for 2 nights. The room is located upstairs (attic). It is a simple room perfect for a budget traveler. It has its own CR with shower and heater. Toiletries such as tissue, shampoo, toothbrush and towel were provided. The room has a cable TV and electric fan. The bonus part is the free wifi and the complimentary breakfast. For only 1k per night, it is great value for money. The place has a common living room with a fireplace and a dining room. The ambiance is good and cozy. Since the place was an old house converted into rooms, I would suggest that they improve the restrooms. The CR downstairs and the CR at the Pulag Room for instance looks a little bit dirty even if it's clean because of the old floor tiles. It is time they replace it so it looks clean. Location-wise, it is far from Session Rd but suitable for laid back travelers. Cab ride costs 55-65 pesos. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget accommodation.

Very happy with our 3d/2n stay here. Glad we were able to find Old Orangewood. More or less 5 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff are accommodating and respectful. Playhouse is a plus for my 2 year old daughter! Definitely a home away from home! Will surely recommend to family and friends.

If travelling solo, this place is just perfect. There's a little nook where you can read your books and make the most out of your "art of doing nothing". It's home away from home. Happy anniversary. See you soon.

I guess it is an big old house converted into an inn. It was raining in Baguio when we arrived late afternoon. Checking in was a breeze, I gave my name and showed my booking reference, the front office only asked for a valid ID and we got the room. One Queen Bed, which I think is a little small for a Queen bed standard size and a single bed , nicely arranged linen, extra blanket, toiletries and towels. Hot and Cold shower, toilet flush that works but no bidet, there is a bath tub but did not use it because it is old. The shower water pressure can be weak, I have stayed in some places in Baguo and Sagada with the same issue, Our room booking comes with free breakfast, with hot beverage, Continental, American or Filipino breakfast, extra orders like bacon, ham, rice are charged though. There is a water dispenser for the guests and electric kettle in the dining room for the guest use. I tried ordering my beloved Benguet Brew, but was given a brewed coffee, no charge, not sure if the brewed coffee comes as complimentary, but THANK YOU! I got my Coffee fix on a cold Baguio night.. There is a fireplace in the common area, big couch to sit on and books to read, if you feel cold decide to thaw yourself out, you can request them to light the fireplace, They have outside seating too. There is also free parking in the property. It is also in a quiet residential area, so traffic noise is bearable, plus there are friendly reminders about the "Quiet Time" which runs from 10pm to 7am the following day, The only thing I did not like is the traffic we experience going to the property, you will have to drive through Session road, whenever I am in Baguio, I try to avoid the touristy places and the crowds. Old Orangewood may be an old house but I can judge a hotel once I step in and go to the reception, we were welcomed, the front office staff answered our inquiries professionally, showed us our room, The property feels homey and warm, the staff are always smiling, courteous and willing to help. That's what makes a hotel worth coming back and considering the rate too, if you are on a budget, Orange is a winner. I have another "home" in Baguio City now

I just needed a bed to crash as I was spending most of the day outside and this was perfect but I wouldn't mind staying indoors as well. It's a nice & cozy place. For the price I paid it was a good choice. A bit away from the city center hence make sure you figure out transportation if you mind waiting for a few minutes.
